UK Contaminated Blood Scandal

up to 30,000 people contracted hiv and hepatitis c in the 1970s and 80s after being given blood treatments or transfusions on the nhs.. thousands have since died.. it just goes to show there is no such thing as a sure thing.. the wts may be wrong about their blood doctrine, and their bible interpretation to justify it, and how they enforced the rules about it, but ultimately may be correct in claiming that "bloodless surgery" was a safer option medically.. canada also had a contaminated blood scandal, where 30,000 were infected with hepatitis c and hiv.. in other news, paying for blood from high-risk donors is a bad idea.

That is true of any medical treatment and surgery. All have their risks and potential negative side effects. It is usually the result of a balanced risk assessment, accepting the smaller risk over the bigger one.

Simple Question Re 1914

wt claims that satan was thrown out of heaven in october 1914 precipitating ww!

and the end times.

a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

If I remember correctly, there was a QfR on that and the answer was that Satan knew about chronology (well, he could have just purchased the Watch Tower-magazine) and that he wanted to confuse mankind, so that is why WW1 started before the end of the times of the Gentiles.

i was googling the subject and came across this story.

i just had an incredible phone conversation with a long-time jw who has strong "q-anon" "sovereign citizen" beliefs.

the wife(first gen) says she is not surprised.

People who are attracted by cults like the JW want to be members of special club of people in the know. So, yes, it makes sense that they also open for other crazy stuff. And yes, they support violence. Of course, they have outsourced this to heavenly powers. But I can quote a lot of JW that regret this a little bit. I remember this WT-quote that pointed out that secular law hinders JW to stone apostates.
