apparently everybody is to blame for islamic terrorism (according to bill nye global warming causes isis) - apart from islamic terrorists of course.

Its beyond foolish to question whether or not islamic would have arrisen without foreign involvment in the middle east. This book, https://www.amazon.com/Krakatoa-World-Exploded-August-1883/dp/0060838590, does a fantastic job tracing much modern islamic extremism to the volcanic eruption of krakatoa. Well worth a read although the rise of militant islam is only a small facet of the book.

jws have one of the worst, if not the worst, retention rates among their kids.

i've seen numbers from 65% to 88% who leave, never to return.. you'd think this would be a priority amongst the leadership, right?

where do tomorrow's leaders come from, if the vast majority of kids leave the organization?

The idea of asking them to give up the one thing they love for the cult is classic indoctrination according to steve hassen. It causes the person to become more invested emotionally based on the level of investment (the love of the past time or hobby etc etc given up)

of course the trick phrase there is "with regard to the scope". They will be able to weasel later and say 'we never said it was done, just that the scope is worldwide'
