  I corrected that statement in a later post. These pages were from the Oregon court, where they were not sealed. This was not a snafu.

  There were some other records that Barbara got from CA, dealing with the settlement, that she was asked by the court not to reveal, and she agreed. There is some info on that in the CD

  The letters are from when Don was DO in Oregon in the mid-1990s. They are about the congregations dealing with a notorious pedophile in that area - nothing bad about Don himself. And if I remember correctly, his wife's name was Natasha.

  I'm far from having seen all of it, but so far, Merton Campbell was specifically named in the court records of one of the cases. Merton has been a Bethel biggie in the Service Department for decades, and Service Dept. letters for CA would have involved him.
  
  There are copies of letters from District Overseer Don Amy to the Service Dept. about one of the cases as well.
  
  I remember the names because I knew both of these men fairly well.

  Marvin's answer above about the documents left out clears that up nicely.
  
  As far as the press and media, perhaps people could bring this to the attention of AP and NBC News/Dateline, and other news sources as well. If a buzz is generated around this, that might push people in the direction of doing some stories about it.

  The press is aware of this information and the release. Not sure at this point what, if anything they will do about it.
  
  It will be very hard for the WTS to take legal action on this, as all of the documents are public record and legally obtained. Barbara did get some documents that the court asked her not to publish, and she didn't.
  
  It seems that, while some of these documents were sealed by the California court, they were also used in a case in Oregon where they were not sealed, and Barbara obtained them from there.
  
  So, she's quite confident of her legal grounds for the CD.
  
  Also, no one can know who purchases these. The purchaser's names and addresses are protected by law.
  
  Interestingly, I'll bet the WTS will buy a copy!! Haha!

  WHO WAS THIS POSTER? Help please!

  when i stumble across someone's long life story or a really good sounding long thread, i often cut and paste it into my nerdy little pda for later reading at the kingdom hell.. well, i did that for a life story from a poster who signed off as "dave" but i blew it and didn't get his username or the url for the thread.

  his life story in a nutshell centered around a 2 week trip he made to bethell to work as a consultant for the art/graphics department back in the 80's.

  it really woke him up and he subsequently left the dubs.
