  Being an xjw puts us in a league few have traveled, theirs the guilt ridden thoughts of wasted time, then it's the damage we have caused others due to following false prophets. The I'm such a fool thoughts damage the xjw .Eventually we have to look only forward and it's then we heal and find happiness .

  like the noah of old, (as described in the bible), are modern day jw’s just poor teachers?

  i mean, noah, and i assume his family, preached for decades prior to the “deluge”.

  they were “clearly” or “evidently” poor at convincing their contemporaries that a ‘flood’ was a comin’.

  The problem with JW headquarters is they can't start again, so they are chained to a history of bullshit that if they did it again they probably wouldn't do certain things because it affects the MONEY flow.1 blood which they can't change due to too many deaths, 2 1914 they just put it in print to much so they can't change because the rank and file would realise God didn't change his mind. 3 Education so the money would flow more freely. 4 the no children policy which hindered increase.

  i attended the circus assembly last weekend and i have come to the conclusion i am lacking faith.

  the opening talk on the program, the very first words that came out of the speakers mouth told me so.

  he said most of us here are lacking faith even though we might not know it.

  with the proliferation of social media, more people have been reached by the watchtower organization than ever before in history.

  it sure took them long enough!.

  at the same time, anti-jw activism has caught fire to counterbalance the propaganda.. there are all sorts of activists operating "out there" using books, videos, podcasts, facebook, and incidental un-witnessing to puncture and perforate the false message and counterfeit codswallop of the governing body.. __________.

  I love how you draw them in ,using their own strategies ,brilliant . I live in town where there is an assembly hall and on weekends McDonald's get a lot of JW visitors . The coffee might not be as good as Starbucks but if you were there I think a massive cult healing could take place or at least some provocative thought process could take place. I have family in and I haven't been nailed to the stake yet, but I know it's only a matter of time due to my strong convictions.

  Using the term "Watchtower" when talking to a JW

  has anyone else noticed how alarm bells go off inside a jw mind as soon as they hear someone that "is out" refer to the leaders of this org as "watchtower"?

  i've chatted with a few friends now about my doubts and each and every time i've started using phrases such as "watchtower said this" or "watchtower did that", i can almost see their heads about to explode in anger, as if they've just realized they are talking to the lucifer himself.

  some have even interrupted and corrected me by reminding me that it's not "watchtower", it's "god's organization".

  Try referring to KH as "our church" and see the reaction. Or that every JW who left another church to join JW is an apostate to the religion they left.

  the crime is ,condoning the removal of and shunning of jw children ,who when older want to express freedom of religion and attend another church.

  god created family unit ,gb destroys lives on all levels of family tree.

  can this be the unforgivable sin?.

  How to start....

  i think it would be a good idea to start a thread with suggestions on how to start a journey away from the w.t.

  obviously circumstances are different for each individual.. my advice is:-.

  a) fade gently but with the objective never to return.. b) my opinion on beliefs and theology is that if they are not verifiable and relevant to your everyday life then set them aside for now.. c) if you have spent your life sincerly believing your ministry was helping in the most important work beiing done on the earth, then i would would suggest simply by being ethical in speech and action, will effect others in a positive way evangelizing as a j.w never could.. d.) as for armeggedon, that's simply control by fear.

  I think if it's deseased it should not be touched. Stop touching the unclean thing. But I fully understand if you use a slower strategy due to family ties. But the problem with the fade is such a loss of precious time.
