My disassociation story
by Roger Kirkpatrick infollowing is a summary of events leading up to my decision to disassociate from jehovah's witnesses and the unforeseen results of that decision.. a young man named joel engardio produced a documentary about jehovah's witnesses called "knocking" which aired nationally on pbs.
i purchased the dvd from joel before it was even released and we exchanged emails.
joel had been raised by his jw mother and had been active in jw activities during his adolescence, but he was never baptized as a jw.

I once said as a comment on the microphone that we shouldn't get to hung up on which movies we watch because if the bible was in movie form we would of all walked out and then I explained to the cong the guy who chopped up the girl into twelve pieces and distributed them among the tribes of Israelites ,and the sexual episodes of sodom. I remember having to explain why I wasn't at meeting, the guilt trip this religion puts on its participants is enormous. Ratting out fellow JW is its core unwritten doctrine and written for serious sin. They get taught like children and behave like children running to the teacher. When I look at all this I can't believe I lowered myself to this level. The whole JW church is a gossip machine.

I Give Up!

i've reached the end of my patience and now i finally refuse to waste any more time on part-time witnesses.
i've text all of my active jw family members and told them to delete my number from their phone and never contact me again.

Pale we all on here appreciate your openness, we will help you when and if your family fail you . I'm lucky I didn't lose family members when I left JWs because they are " wordly" , I can only imagine the emotional pain of being shunned by the person who breast fed you , it just seems so unnatural. Try not get to angry with the cult affected parents instead take it out on the JW church, which I know you do a fine job of exposing the Jw fraud.
