I agree steve2 , and the Jw have created a link between non reporting on card to being lukewarm , salvation is linked to the card , 6 months non reporting and you become irregular, then after time inactive, according to Jw inactive equates to death by god.

Jehovah's people are not happy people
by Phoebe ini finally stopped attending the meetings about 4 months go.
i won't be going back - ever.. but i've decided the best reply to the watchtower is to be happy and i do try to be happy every day even thought i wasted my entire life on this religion.
i cherish every day, practice mindfulness and do my best to be content with the life i have.. it is only now that i see that most jws i know are deeply unhappy people.

The problem with depression pills is no one really knows what they are doing to the mind, some people deteriorate quickly after starting new medication. The only difference between a drug and a poison is the amount administered. The average Jw is run off their feet with obligations to head office that contentment and happiness eludes them.

My awakening and concern
by Issa ingood evening everyone, i go by issa.
as many former ex-witnesses, i "woke up" from believing that the jw org is the "truth".
this happened during this month thanks to information from jw-facts and youtube videos about ex-witnesses' experience in this org.

Welcome Smiruk ,You really can't convince anybody ,they have to come to that conclusion themselves, directing someone to challenge the belief system is difficult but not impossible. Just stick with facts you can't go wrong with facts, stay away from interpreting scripture. Think of your own indoctrination therapy first , the evils of this cult run deep.

The GB look pretty well fed , old sister jones milk money for our popes, boardroom table fine cut sandwiches, business lounges in airports , they don't seem to anxious to get to heaven when pork crackle for lunch.

Did Jesus pre exist? Yes or no?
by UnshackleTheChains inwhen i first became a witness, i always found the teaching about jesus being the arch angel michael hard to swallow.
i did however believe that jesus pre existed as a master worker alongside god (the first of his creation).. but now everything is brought into question having watched anthony buzzard explain why jesus could not have pre existed as it is impossible to pre exist yourself.
also the fact that it all sounds contradictory to suggest, he was already alive millions of years before he was transferred to mary's womb to be born as a human - the son of man?.

Are you a Christian Who Accepts Evolution?
by cofty inif you identify as a christian but you have accepted that the diversity of life - including humans - resulted from a process of biological evolution could you add your name please?.
just to be clear i am referring to the fact that our physical lineage could literally be traced back all the way to non-human species.. if you like maybe you could comment on why you see not conflict between evolution and your christian faith.. there is a tendency to conflate evolution with atheism.
it would be good to show that this is not the case..

Cofty this is a subject I rarely comment on, I failed science at school and being bought up a catholic kid we believed the black book even though we didn't read it, but after being a Jw and reading it I understand why it should be on the self with all the other fairy tales.
The problem with this subject is your asking are we a Christian first, then do we accept evolution? The problem I have I'm a bit like Thomas show me the holes. With history we have fossils which nuke all Jw chronology, then we still have to deal with this guy Jesus, I didn't meet him but he pull off some amazing David Copperfield, it's I don't understand why God would allow him to be killed, he did influence the calendar, if he was from God and he was a good guy the I think the GBs continuous shunning of teenagers had no place in the gospels. The whole evolution subject just blows my mind. I'm very simple and I don't like to think me and a monkey are cousins.
