did you have a plan to leave the organization?

i did.

it took a couple of years but we did leave and never had a desire to go back!.

When the penny dropped and I realised I had been duped by a smooth talking realestate company, I left and could never go to a KH again. I’m usually not very gullible, but to be converted to jw cause is truly embarrassing looking back.

sooner or later we're going to get a jw knocking on our door.

just like when we were jw's doing the knocking, it's good to have a question prepared to get them thinking about their own beliefs.

Will god hold religious leaders responsible for the deaths of the flock due to these leader going beyond what’s written ? I first mention war to get their heads nodding then I switch to blood fractions and the lives lost and remind them that some jws died for what is now a conscience matter.

Because they have admitted god will hold responsible these leaders , I ask how will god bring judgement against these men who cost fellow believers their lives.

The other thing I ask is what is the youngest age someone can get baptised then you get responses 9-14. Then I ask is that child free to explore other religions when they become adults with no family sanctions.

It’s purely a performance based cult masquerading as a religion , so of course if and elder loses his position then goes the power and prestige. Because average jo the publisher believe god uses elders, so now this man has lost his connection with god .

Parents who try to make you feel guilty.

when parents say all the things we've done for you and your not doing anything for us in return like going to meetings, witnessing, answering up etc... how do you respond to parents?.

The jw church was built on making people feel guilty. Come to our KH and be cleansed of sin and then your conscience will be a peace.

Usually the half good ones step down and the tyrants rule with an iron fist. 14th century religious zealots have nothing on a elder with a Divine mission sent from Warwick. The whole point of religion is a confessional arrangement. The jw confessional process is steeped in paganism.

Exposing one's identity. When?

i've been toying with the idea of just coming out and posting my name and location as an attempt to be available to locals that secretly browse the forum that have known me for up to 25 years.

( "reaching out", so to speak ).

i'm not da'd or df'd, so this most certainly could end in a dramatic confrontation.

marriage"equality" survey, Australia.

the australian govt has set out a survey to see if people are in favour of changing the marriage act to include same sex couples.. hm here have received their papers?

the survey promises to be anonymous but has a substantial bar code at the bottom... anonymous yeah right.. the marriage act once said "two people" then a previous prime minister changed it to say "man and woman" all that is needed to amend this situation as required by the gay community is change it back again to "two people" there, done and dusted.. and millions of dollars need not be wasted on this survey which is not compulsory as is voting in australia.

can anyone here who still goes to kh tell us if this has had a ruling from the platform?.

I will only vote if it’s compulsory , just an inconvenience to post . As to same sex marriage , well whatever floats their boat. It just complicates constitutional law as to what age someone has the legal option to change genders and I know to some it may sound cruel it I honestly think kids do better with a mother and father arrangement. As to gays wanting legal recognition it probably has more to do with inheritance issues. Want to know my vote Rodger give me a kiss and I’ll tell you .

Do you still believe in God?

i never thought i would admit it, but i don't.

i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.

as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.
