I was fortunate enough to have Christmas throughout my whole childhood, very memorable. It is absolutely cruel to withhold such fun times from children. Don’t forget to send mum a picture.

Poor bastard wouldn’t even qualify for microphone duties. He would certainly be disfellowshipped for questioning the slave . Conclusion he would crucified by the religious leader of the jw church.

A WTF Moment While In the WTS
by Searching inhas anyone else had a moment, while still within the organization (and before learning ttatt) that caused them to stop and go, "this is kind of messed up.".
for instance, back i believe in the early 2000's, i was attending a dc with my family.
it was announced at the beginning of the convention that there was going to be a special announcement at the end, so for everyone to please try to remain until the very end of the meeting.

We had this kid ( 16 yo) in our cong who skipped the meeting to go motorbike riding. He crashed and died. I remember hearing this dickhead elder say that if he was at the meeting he would not have died, I’m thinking if he was at McDonald’s he wouldn’t have died. These heartless men have zero empathy. I know what I would rather be doing on the day I die and it certainly wouldn’t be with a wt in my hand.

People Asking Me To Help Them Leave
by pale.emperor ini dont know if it's due to the last convention, the recent broadcasts, the internet or just plain fatigue - but since the convention i've had a few people contact me via facebook messenger asking how i am then cutting to the chase asking me what it's like "on the outside" or "how did you adjust after leaving?
" and asking me how they can leave the wt but keep their families.. my reply is always the same, i show real genuine interest and concern and listen to their situation.
then i suggest a fade, how to fade, to ignore or reject elders visits, to not talk about their doubts to active jws under any circumstances and finally point them to this site.

My apostate endeavours consist of visiting MacDonalds on a Saturday or Sunday morning and reverse preaching to those stopping on their way to local convention hall. I’m sure I have planted seeds that will grow . It’s a very noble cause to save some from this family destroying cult. Well done Pale.

A Little Direction Please
by Brian J ini'm an active elder, cobe, just got home from the meeting where i handled the treasures part and concluded by announcing a friend of mine has been d/f,.....blah blah blah...and over the last year have woken up.
i simply cannot spill my guts to my wife and children as it would be family suicide.
i have zero desire to bash, spread my feelings, or become an "apostate".

Tell family to google anything jw, and ask if 10% is true maybe the family can conclude no direction from god. Living a lie will eat you up , your family can be saved. Good luck you will need it.

Bad experiences in waking someone up?
by Fred Flintstone ini mean, is it advisable to try to wake a friend up?
what about the risk of he/she falling into depression?
anger?

I find the best approach is to ask jws has anyone lost their lives following a jw policy that they later changed. Then remind them of blood fractions and organ transplants. Then ask did they die for god or man. Ask who is responsible. All who leave go through a grieving process and an embarrassment at being gullible. Every effort to wake someone is a noble cause.

Why I constantly write letters to the Watchtower Society
by UnshackleTheChains inhi all.. for many years now, i have been writing letters to bethel in new york and london.
i have also written to the charity commission, the bbc and more to highlight the harmful teachings and policies of the watchtower society.
i realise that some may view this as futile and understand why they might feel this way,; especially considering the pharisaical stonewall-like attitude displayed by the leadership of watchtower.. some reasons i do so is because i feel that constructive criticism is essential in helping to bring about change.

Signing Away Your Hard Earned Cash
by Disassociated Lady 2 inreading the meeting workbook study for this week to see what my family will be reading at their meeting, once again they are asking for members for generous gifts not only from money they earn but also part of any investments they may have and making future arrangements for them to inherit after death through their wills.
take a look at the lower part of the page on this link, its awful!

They only accept “ sellable land “ , there is no way they want land taxes to exceed land values which happens sometimes . They do look a gift horse in the mouth.

This week's "Give Us Your Money" meeting item.
by freddo inif you went to it, (or go later this week) how was it handled?
just the video or some commentary too?.
i have heard of a few negative comments from some that attended - one jw even openly said to me "not very encouraging, all they go on about is money lately" and another (a serving elder, no less) said "someone's got to pay for all those lawsuits".

I always wondered why they don’t pass around the collection plate , then it dawned on me that what they want is everything money , time and no room for self satisfaction. Bastard thieving religion has mastered money extraction.
