by no-zombie inas all witnesses know, the opening gambit of the great tribulation will occur when the united nations turns on organized religion to devastate them and leave them naked of people and resources.
however, as jehovah's judgement day has been spoken of as being "imminent", the question that can be fairly asked ... 'is the united nations organization actually in a position to act as god's destroyer of false religion?
while i have no doubt that most within that organization had in the past tried to make the lives of the desperate better, the united nations has unfortunately now become a weak and underfunded political eunuch.

of all my years as a jw i found this wasn't the case.
i honestly believe that if i turned up at any of my fellow apostates on here house and said hi i'm chook can we have a coffee, the response would be how many sugars..

I place the baptism of children as the orgs biggest crime. 12 years of age ,that child has no idea of the social repercussions they have entered into. This is the religious crime that will go down in history as the most emotional blackmail enforced apon an individual. That poor poor child. Question about an elder and if I am crazy
by life is to short inok so i have a question.
i was a very, very true believer until i saw the child molesters in my hall and how that whole thing was handled.. my husband is older than i am and had been an elder for 12 when we married.
so fast forward to 06, we are in a hall where i thought all the elders were ok at the worst and great at the best.

They have probably in the past, but I think bethel members are allowed to count time working at bethel as a part of ministry. The 7 bosses probably meet for field service occasionally ,but being the spiritual kings they are ,they probably go and visit some old invalid sister who makes nice cakes. You are either ignorant or you know, once you know you no longer remain ignorant. Once you know you can ignore the facts but that doesn't make you ignorant. So to answer the above question , one can ignore the facts but once someone becomes aware of facts they are no longer ignorant and it is only then that a choice takes place.

by pale.emperor ini'm wondering if the borg actually studied mind control and coercion tactics deliberately or wether they just evolved over time through trial and error.
from reading steve hassans books, studying hypnosis and methods psychopaths use it all seems very complex.
like it would never occur to me to do a, b and c in the right order at the right time in order to get control of someone or control their lives.. for example, repetition of words (the word "loyalty" was a big one in the last convention), using loaded language, encouraging people not to trust their own thoughts, restricting their information, demonising those who leave etc.
