  Disfellowhsipped for 7 years...

  i remember around 2009, there was a scandal going on involving 2 families in my cong where the husband in one family was having an affair with the wife of the other family.

  this resulted in pregnancy and subsequent disfellowshipping.

  what was interesting to me though was a comment made by a co from the platform.

  If this CO put up 7 years for a adulterous relationship imagine what he would say for apostasy 20 years minimum. Judical sentences in org all boil down to connections. It's always the same no matter what country or group , it's always WHO you know.

  Can Someone Explain To Me, Are The Org In Debt Or Rich?

  hi guys.. im aware of the orgs blatant hints to donate, donate, donate to the org, the sacking of bethel staff, selling of buildings, reducing mags and books, emphasis on digital rather than physical books etc which is obviously a money saver - but are the wt org in money difficulty?

  because elsewhere on here and on youtube there's stories of the watchtower being mega rich, one even called it "a billion dollar organization".

  and if there is any money in there, who's benefiting off it?

  I love how they promote to R&F to pay taxes yet they go to extraordinary lengths to avoid paying any tax. It's ALWAYS about the money!

  They always have an each way bet, if org increases its gods blessings,if it decreases it's a narrow road few will find. They always win and of course you will know it's the" truth".

  i just wanted to intoroduce myself.

  i have been lurking for some time and finally decided to register and hopefully contribute to this great forum.. i am in my mid 30s and have never been in the truth.

  my wife became a jw several years ago and since she is a (mostly) stay at home mom my two boys are also jws.

  Feeling very lonely

  the past few months i've been feeling really depressed and kind of hopeless.

  the few people that actually were a little bit friendly to me at the hall recently moved away, and i'm feeling like more of an outcast than i already was.

  every meeting i just stand by myself by the wall and nobody cares, i feel really lonely and unloved.

  hope some on here can cheer your sorry soul up , sadness is often how we react to things around us that we have little control over , there come a time in life where you can take more control, it is at this time you must stand up for your principles and beliefs, because if your don't the days can get very dark with sadness. I'm no expert on computers but I know you can use search engines that leave no history one is "duck duck go". An other thing you can do which your dad won't be able to trace is when you go to sites like this is use a VPN ( tunnel bear is free). Hang in there and remember your remote friends on here have walked many roads and you can access wisdom beyond your years.

  this new broadcast features interviews with bethelites from south africa that were fired reassigned to the ministry field.

  i almost feel sorry for these people who gave their all thinking they would be taken care of for who-knows how many years.

  however they were let go in the blink of an eye.

  JWs are one of the only church's that don't have nursing homes ( old people's full time care facilities) , that should ring alarm bells. Some of other church's even have hospitals, if JWs had hospitals no doctor would work for them because of the blood issue. JWs talk care , but provide very little even to its own members , it just encourages the R&F to look after each other. Then when it gives the impression of care it's really just making sure no one is out of line ( liaison visits when your on your last legs and I could guarantee that if you were single and had money there would be a procedure to secure big TonyMorris his slush fund.

  What steps did you take to free yourself from the cult? mentally or physically?

  first i ignored all of the elders phone calls to send my recommendation letter to my new congregation, truth is i had already started my fade and moved across town and didn't have a new congregation.

  i deleted all jw friends on facebook.

  i also threw away all of my public talks recorded on cd, all literature, even my book bag and my bible.

  I rang my close friends and expressed my new views and I showed them crazy quotes from WT. I regularly rang my friends at the same frequency and those that ignored my calls got the big delete. I'm afraid there are only about 3 or 4 that answer, the trajectory is definitely down hill. I'm lucky of have wordly family and worldly friends whose friendship is not conditional on my prayer direction. Forums like this really help me emotionally. I have a good attitude regarding the JWs that reject me, I know it's their loss not having my acquaintance. I didn't reject them, so my loyalty will be better directed elsewhere.

  "did you know, for example, that mothers and fathers that stroke the genitals of their fretful babies to keep them quiet are unwittingly encouraging them to become maturbators later on?".

  what sick fu... writing this article thought the the average person did this to keep kids quiet..

  the circuit overseer is at their cong and he trying to get brownie points.

  i was just chilling watching tv with a cuppa, when i heard a car outside.

  If confronted by them and can't escape ask them about their salaries and benefits, also ask are their jobs at risk due to cut backs, that will get them out pretty fast.

  Could you imagine if mr Lett was before the ARC . It would have to make the rank and file wonder out of all annointed God would choose this guy to be the guiding force on earth. It doesn't reflect well on God.
