good evening everyone, i go by issa.
as many former ex-witnesses, i "woke up" from believing that the jw org is the "truth".
this happened during this month thanks to information from jw-facts and youtube videos about ex-witnesses' experience in this org.
Welcome Issa, from now on you can look at the org from outside in. You can ask family though provoking questions but remember to act innocent. Their witch hunts are real so tread lightly if you are still at home. We look forward for updates on your endeavour to slip out and hopefully save some others.

i'm currently in a jehovah's witnesses household, which is very deep into the "truth".
i woke up a few months ago, and i haven't told my parents yet.
Welcome Smiruk ,You really can't convince anybody ,they have to come to that conclusion themselves, directing someone to challenge the belief system is difficult but not impossible. Just stick with facts you can't go wrong with facts, stay away from interpreting scripture. Think of your own indoctrination therapy first , the evils of this cult run deep.

I voted no, fuck them even if they are cult affected or family , they need to wake up and leave the religion, there is no healing while being subjected to propaganda.

The GB look pretty well fed , old sister jones milk money for our popes, boardroom table fine cut sandwiches, business lounges in airports , they don't seem to anxious to get to heaven when pork crackle for lunch.
when i first became a witness, i always found the teaching about jesus being the arch angel michael hard to swallow.
i did however believe that jesus pre existed as a master worker alongside god (the first of his creation).. but now everything is brought into question having watched anthony buzzard explain why jesus could not have pre existed as it is impossible to pre exist yourself.
also the fact that it all sounds contradictory to suggest, he was already alive millions of years before he was transferred to mary's womb to be born as a human - the son of man?.

if you identify as a christian but you have accepted that the diversity of life - including humans - resulted from a process of biological evolution could you add your name please?.
just to be clear i am referring to the fact that our physical lineage could literally be traced back all the way to non-human species.. if you like maybe you could comment on why you see not conflict between evolution and your christian faith.. there is a tendency to conflate evolution with atheism.
it would be good to show that this is not the case..
Cofty this is a subject I rarely comment on, I failed science at school and being bought up a catholic kid we believed the black book even though we didn't read it, but after being a Jw and reading it I understand why it should be on the self with all the other fairy tales.
The problem with this subject is your asking are we a Christian first, then do we accept evolution? The problem I have I'm a bit like Thomas show me the holes. With history we have fossils which nuke all Jw chronology, then we still have to deal with this guy Jesus, I didn't meet him but he pull off some amazing David Copperfield, it's I don't understand why God would allow him to be killed, he did influence the calendar, if he was from God and he was a good guy the I think the GBs continuous shunning of teenagers had no place in the gospels. The whole evolution subject just blows my mind. I'm very simple and I don't like to think me and a monkey are cousins.
as we know, many people have "no junk mail" signs on their home letterboxes.
this clearly means that they do not want unsolicited mail or advertising material.. so how are witnesses getting around this?.
during the campaign to distribute the convention invitations, when they come across a house with "no junk mail", they are just putting the leaflet inside an envelope and hand writing "to the householder" on the front and putting it in the letterbox!.
Isn't funny when I used to believe that the householders with those no Jw signs were going to Gehenna.
we all know the rate of suicide is high among jw's.
my question is this- was there some subliminal messages that encourage this.
i was a born in and my entire life i would have these thoughts that could come out of nowhere,"kill yourself.
Emotional pain becomes to much , I don't think to many first century Christians committed suicide . The GBs lantern of their wise virgin is going dim the because no spiritual encouragement to these souls that kamikazed . The religion will be remembered for its load that it made its members carry, it's just some poor soul couldn't carry it any longer , may they rest in peace.

i understand that warwick is to be the new world headquarters of jws, patterson is an educational complex, and walkill is a literature production center.
will patterson continue to be used as it is now after the completion of warwick?
if not, what will happen to it?
