Here's a clip from "The Closer" where Brenda gives a very funny non-apology-apology. It's less than 2 minutes long if you start at the 3-minute mark. I'm thinking of Cedar's apology on a previous page.

I got a chuckle out of this explanation of a “frivolous lawsuit” from wikipedia, and think others here may enjoy it too.
”Impact upon filing attorney
Filing a claim that is ultimately deemed frivolous can be highly damaging to the attorney so filing. Most frivolous lawsuits that are successful are filed without an attorney. Attorney Daniel Evans writes:“[W]hen a judge calls an argument "ridiculous" or "frivolous," it is absolutely the worst thing the judge could say. It means that the person arguing the position has absolutely no idea of what he is doing, and has completely wasted everyone's time. It doesn't mean that the case wasn't well argued, or that judge simply decided for the other side, it means that there was no other side. The argument was absolutely, positively, incompetent. The judge is not telling you that you were "wrong." The judge is telling you that you are out of your mind.[9]”

Highlight in your text what you are quoting after pasting it.
Then press the quote button.Hey, thanks NonCoinCollector. That helped a lot. I’d been starting out with the quote button too soon, and quoting everything in my comment. Then, I’d just given up trying to use it and waited to see what Simon would do with my comment. Lol.

Speaking of domains, I hope you like the one I picked for the new site:
That’s a good start, Simon. It will help new POMOs to have an overview of what’s available. Those who have recently awoken can easily grab ahold of the first piece of sanity they hear or see, without realizing that they still need to use their own “powers of reason”. I hope that everyone here will contribute links for you to sort through and use to populate your new website.

My friend, Lori Jane, has a website called simplychristian.faith
One section contains links to other websites and YouTube channels for helping exiting JW’s find a soft place to land. Please take a look at her list, Simon, and see which links you deem helpful. I suggest you also contact her through her website. She is a lovely person.
One heading is “ExJW YouTube Channels and Websites”.
https://simplychristian.faith/community/forums/exjw-youtube-channels-and-websites.15/
She has a list called “Meetings and Events” which includes many different religious ideas. https://simplychristian.faith/community/forums/meetings-events.16/
Another heading is “Exodus Support Discussion”.
https://simplychristian.faith/community/forums/exodus-support-discussion.7/
Here’s the description of the support group:
“This forum is a please (sp?) for those that have left or are considering leaving a high control group such as the Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons to discuss their experiences and get help from more experienced survivors. This is not for discussion doctrinal matters. Those threads will be moved or removed so please post those in the general discussion forum.”

This fits what I've seen and heard here:
"19Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more." - Eph. 4:19.
Three years ago, when I first woke up, I found one of "Cedars'" videos. A gentleman in the comment section gave a small, constructive, gently worded piece of advice as a comment. Cedars clobbered the man. I thought, "Surely Cedars has misunderstood the man's intentions." I felt the urge to defend the man and "explain" him to Cedars. I'd never posted on an exjw site at the time, nor read or watched anything exjw for that matter, so after reflecting, I stayed out of it,... didn't sign up for an account and didn't post. Smh. I'd thought that that unpleasantness was probably an anomaly, but it seems now that what I read that day was more the "rule".

When people witness or fail to prevent "acts that transgress one’s own moral beliefs, values, or ethical codes of conduct", their conscience becomes damaged. An employer who exposes his employees, who do have ethics, to his own immoral behavior causes "moral injury" to those employees.
From Syracuse University:
https://moralinjuryproject.syr.edu/about-moral-injury/
"What is Moral Injury
Moral injury is the damage done to one’s conscience or moral compass when that person perpetrates, witnesses, or fails to prevent acts that transgress one’s own moral beliefs, values, or ethical codes of conduct.
...Shay (2014) emphasizes leadership failure and a “betrayal of what’s right, by a person who holds legitimate authority in a high stakes situation.” Silver (2011) speaks of, “a deep soul wound that pierces a person’s identity, sense of morality, and relationship to society” (para. 6)." -

Simon says:
“It’s academic. He knows about it all now and still choses to work for and actively defend him, so we can make a judgement on Tibor's morals and ethics (or lack thereof).”
Yes, Tibor knows now, and continues ‘working for and actively defending’ JLE. But I was intending to ask if Tibor was aware of JLE’s adultery previous to his wife’s knowing about it,... perhaps even for a long period of time before his wife knew about it. That would surely take a toll on the conscience of a moral person.

Simon says:
“ I think every hall had those vile spawn of vile elders who just oozed corruption.”
Yes, Simon, I’ve watched this happen, as though in slow-motion.
Changing the subject,... I’ve read most of this thread, but not some of the first comments, so I may be asking a question that has already been answered.
Did Tibor accompany JLE to his filming destinations? Did Tibor know that JLE was being unfaithful to his wife? Any person of good morals (whether Tibor or anyone else) who comes into knowledge of such conduct would suffer pangs of conscience over what to do with this knowledge. The moral person who comes into knowledge of the betrayal of someone’s spouse has to decide whether to stay quiet or to speak up. And then there is the decision of whether to stay quiet to “whom”, or to speak up to “whom”. My point is that people’s consciences are called upon for action by simply witnessing or being informed of an associate’s marital infidelity.
Regarding “cogitive dissonance”, Psychology Today says, “Though a person may not always resolve cognitive dissonance, the response to it may range from ignoring the source of it to changing one’s beliefs or behavior to eliminate the conflict.”
Referring to Christ’s followers as a body, the Bible says, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” - 1 Cor 12:26.
