“...especially if you place a slice of ham in between. The exact science behind it is difficult to explain.”
Ah, yes, Simon. The old “slice of ham” trick. I learned that during my internship in Transylvania.

“It's very advanced, the software turns every pixel of your screen into a miniature camera,...”
Thank you so much for that detailed and trustworthy explanation, Simon. I laughed out loud all the way through reading it, and even now am left with little tears of laughter in my eyes.

This is off the subject.... but I’m new to this forum. I want to know how the software on this forum knew what I look like. I mean, I registered, and then there was that avatar of me that looks exactly like me. How do they do that?

I didn't know that piece of Jim Jones/ Jonestown history, Las Malvinas son Argentinas. Thanks for the insightful comparison to how Kim Silvio is being maligned.

Once a lawyer takes a case, he tries to finish it. I haven't looked at Croatian law, and I haven't really invested much time into finding just the "right" quote. But here's a snippet of U.S. rules on ethically declining or terminating representation:
"Optional Withdrawel
[7] A lawyer may withdraw from representation in some circumstances. The lawyer has the option to withdraw if it can be accomplished without material adverse effect on the client's interests. Withdrawal is also justified if the client persists in a course of action that the lawyer reasonably believes is criminal or fraudulent, for a lawyer is not required to be associated with such conduct even if the lawyer does not further it. Withdrawal is also permitted if the lawyer's services were misused in the past even if that would materially prejudice the client. The lawyer may also withdraw where the client insists on taking action that the lawyer considers repugnant or with which the lawyer has a fundamental disagreement."

Thanks for the thumbs up, KIMSILVIO and the "quote" TonusOH. I have a paralegal degree that I barely got to use, but it provides me with an occassional insight.

Sometimes lawyers take a case without really knowing what they are getting into.

When a JW becomes an ex-jw Atheist, that means that the ex-jw Atheist is absolved from having to unravel and expose Watchtower's false doctrines, doesn't it?

I’ve always believed that Mark O’Donnell was highly intelligent and a very good writer, and I still believe this. I try to find the smartest, kindest, and most reasonable people available with whom to work and exchange ideas. At the time that Mark O’Donnell began working with Cedars, Mark probably had surveyed his options and Cedars looked like a person whose goals were similar to Mark’s and who had the energy to help put the word out against CSA and Watchtower’s corruption. Mark can’t predict the future any more than I can. At some point, he was probably as surprised about Cedars as the rest of us have been.
