TheWallyB, the “donation” question, and criticism, is constantly present where YouTube videos are concerned. It happens to even the most sincere video-makers. Eric Wilson finally spoke on it in one of his videos. Maybe you’ll get some ideas on explaining your point of view from Eric’s video.

I love it that you used the word “debacle”. On one of my tablets, I entitled the file where I update the page count for this thread as the “Lloyd Evans Debacle”. So, I see that word every time I open this thread. I think that it perfectly describes this journey.
P.S. I didn’t read everything that the poster “King Solomon” wrote on that thread, but I think that much of what he wrote was correct and insightful. Did “King Solomon” get “deleted”? I mean, was he banned?

2 Peter 2:7-9 says,
"7 and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— 9 if all this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment."
We have been "rescued" from Watchtower. The Lord knows how to "hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment". When Lot is resurrected, he can tell us his story himself.

The Bible does give moral standards for Christians. Watchtower pretends to uphold the Bible’s moral standards, but then it participates in skullduggery to protect its “golden boys”. So, sometimes, especially when a JW has NO power, money, charismatic personality, or connections, that person really is disfellowshipped for actually practicing immorality. The problem with Watchtower is that it “perverts justice”, ... covering up wrongdoing for some, while claiming to always follow the Bible.

They think they are untouchable. I’ve known a few like that in my own, real life. It’s as though a wicked entity is protecting them from experiencing negative repercussions from their actions. And it is very annoying to see them gloat.
