It is easy to become swept up in the charms of a wealthy narcissist. At the beginning of a relationship, they will often shower a partner with attention and affection, often buying expensive gifts or taking them on holidays, making them feel like they’re the most important person in the world. Narcissistic husbands can ask their wives to sign blank affidavits and the wife will sign the document. The narcissist’s wife will also sign filled-out documents after hearing from her husband the flimsiest of an explanation of “why” she needs to sign the paper.

When bad people (hypocrites, narcissists) know that you have "seen through them", that is their reaction. From there on, you are their target and enemy.
