Smiddy3, "shenanigans"? Maybe. But there's nothing cute or amusing about LE's activities.
- secret or dishonest activity or maneuvering.
- silly or high-spirited behavior; mischief.

Toblerone5, I've also seen Eric Wilson quip several times about Hotel California and the similarity to JWs. "You can check out any time you like, But you can never leave"

Simon quoted LE:

Yes, Lloyd makes it sound like, "Hey! I'm just a regular guy, trying to do the right thing. What's wrong with all you people?"

Your experience counts, Kim. It's funny how,... me being a "born in",... no matter whether a person is a "born in" or not, someone will find a way to discredit us and the choices we made. Someone is also "at the ready" to criticize saying, "Why didn't you leave sooner?", or, "Why did you join such a stupid cult?" And these are questions we ask ourselves every day. Explaining it to people who aren't even interested in the answers isn't our responsibility.

Thanks LMsA. Lloyd quoted a verse that is probably spurious. And, even if it isn't spurious, verse 11 ends with, "Go and sin no more from now on." That sort of cuts into Lloyd's fun, doesn't it?

What was the Bible verse he quoted Jake? It seems unreal that Lloyd would do that. If anyone were to quote a verse to him, he would probably become apoplectic.

I'll comment on the ten ISBN numbers. Long ago,...maybe 15 years ago,... I wanted to write a children's book on the learning disability "dyscalculia". It wasn't going to be a thick book, but I planned to draw the illustrations myself, and also to get it translated into as many languages as possible. Forgive me that I don't remember now the price for buying just "one" ISBN number. (Ah, the dyscalculia, you see?) But, I think that just "one" cost about $100. However, TEN of them cost $200. So, I bought ten. Later, I saw that my ten ISBN numbers had gone up in price and were then valued at $250.
P.S. Okay, so now I found this:
"ISBN Numbers for Books
You also can purchase an ISBN directly from Bowker at myidentifiers.com. Keep in mind that a single ISBN from Bowker costs $125, and 10 ISBNs cost $250."

As I read Lloyd's "cost list" for his books, and his plea for funding, a feeling of revulsion washed over me.

Thanks, ForeverAlone. From my own experience, you are exactly correct.

Thank you, ForeverAlone. Apparently I have a fragile ego. (Smiley face)
