I had an art teacher at community college who was a kind and decent man. He no longer belonged to any religion. But he told us a story of what happened back when he and his wife had belonged to a church. There was a married couple in the church who, due to some disaster, had lost everything financially. Using the church as their platform, they begged for help. My teacher and his wife both worked hard to earn their money, but out of compassion, they made a large donation to the church couple who had “lost everything”. (This was ‘way prior to gofundme.) The next week, the church couple went on stage to thank everyone. The donations had been overwhelming. In his effusiveness while thanking everyone, the husband said, “We are so grateful for your generosity. Why,.. we were afraid that we were going to have to dip into our savings.” My teacher could hardly believe his ears. He and his wife had given “from” their savings, and they had almost wiped out their savings by their donation to that couple. No wonder they quit churches.

An elderly sister in my Grandmother's congregation became jealous of my Grandmother. Granny was one of those truly loving people who would encourage others,... and she was anointed. The jealous sister told the elders that my Granny thought she "knew more" due to being anointed. Granny, too, was elderly, and she was poor and in ill health, but that didn't stop the elders from hauling Granny into the back room of the KH and terrorizing her. They made sure that she understood that she had no "extra" knowledge due to being anointed. She told them that she agreed. She was completely shaken by the experience. She died a JW, but I know (in the resurrection) she will be so glad that I woke up from Watchtower.

If any totally "in" (pimi) JW had posted a survey asking what JWs think, all pimi JWs who answered the survey would have had to first look up the "correct opinion" on Watchtower Library.

Lloydevansparody, it was convenient that your post on "long 10 years" landed at the top of this page. That made it work out nicely in my screenshot of your post along with our year-old title.

Does Croatia have an online database that lists divorces?

Maybe saying, "As a father, my work can be a major distraction..." would bring on even more questions about whether or not he is divorced. Or, some newbie might think of being a "father" as being a priest. (I hadn't caught on that he was atheist right away.) And yes, it might be amusing to see the true time stamps of "when" each of the children's photos was taken. He could be doing them like a photo shoot, with quick wardrobe and scenery changes.
