I'm here for a quick peek before I go to bed. Whew! I'm so glad to see that everyone is still here. I've been galavanting around on the internet today, taking in the sights. The main "sight" today was Tony Morris, newly discharged from tne GB. Something inside of me feels happy about this development. Besides the obvious satisfaction of seeing one who "lorded it over" others reduced to the status of "common man", I dare to hope that more GB members will fall like dominos. There's nothing evil in cheering over Morris' demotion. Waking up and leaving Watchtower entirely would be the best thing that could happen to him. And the same for the other GB members. The best thing they could do would be to all leave WT simultaneously. Break that hateful yoke! Oh, and Lloyd could put his video equipment for sale on Ebay.

I’m glad to have found this thread. Four years ago when I was waking up, Lloyd’s videos were among the first that I saw. I was so starved for association that I almost contacted him. I’m much older than him, had many more years in the Org than him, I believe I know more about JW doctrine and procedures than he does, and I definitely know more about the Bible than him,... and yet, there he was,... publicly denouncing the Org. That was good. Surely I could learn from him, right? Hmmm. Sadly, no,... not much. And then I read in the comments where Lloyd “chewed up and spit out” a poster who had given him a kindly worded suggestion for improvement. I’m sorry for that man who tried to help Lloyd and got chastised for his effort. Finding this thread cleared up any remaining traces of lingering confusion. I had dodged the bullet! I patted myself on the back and became a participant here.

That sounds like a good outline for a best seller fiction novel, llubrevlis2000. Too bad it isn't fiction.

Notsurewheretogo, there are a lot of people reading this thread who only comment when they are realy, really interested in some particular part of the discussion and have something pertinent to contribute. Others, myself included, make it a daily habit to stop by and see what's going on. My "take" on what I read here may not interest you, Notsurewheretogo, but this is how the internet is currently being used. Your post sounded as though you imagine yourself to be a policeman who has responded to an accident, and whose duty it is to tell others, "Move along now folks. There's nothing to see here". But you have no official capacity to land on this forum and begin "protecting the crime scene" in this way. This forum is not a crime scene. You can read it or not read it. But you have no authority to shut it down. I suggest you stay a while and enjoy the companionship.

Hi Pasta_Hour. I haven't watched his episode. Thanks for your brief summary of it. Lloyd seems to have misjudged atheists. Did he think that being an atheist is synonymous with having no morals?

Llubrevlis2000, our avatars are similar enough that when I glance at pages where we both comment, I gasp thinking that I am monopolizing the conversation. Are you one of my relatives? Maybe a cousin? I look exactly like my avatar, btw.

Someone here could probably write a hilarous resumé for Lloyd at this point. I'd try to do it myself, but I already know that my skill level along those lines is far surpassed by several persons here. However, my ability to laugh is in no way impaired.
