I also bought both of Ray Franz' books. My eyes got dry from reading them both straight through, one after the other. It was a learning extravaganza. Ray had meetings in his home, and his wife cooked for those who attended. He was such a contrast from the "activist" under consideration in this thread.

It pains me to say this, but, yes,... I think that's the problem. In 1973, Awake! had an article called, "Are you learning to think clearly?" I remembered (just now) the title, but I had to search for the article to get the "year" and that it was in Awake! I bring this up because I remember praying to be able to think clearly, but feeling like I really didn't have a goal (as the article recommended) and wasn't thinking clearly. Well, duh. NOBODY in Watchtower can think clearly. People wake up and escape from Watchtower, but their thinking process has been in cold storage for a number of years. And some, like me, were "born in". I did have the desire to go to college. I knew a brother who had been a lawyer for the Society and argued before the Supreme Court (USA). I knew two JW chiropractors. I eventually went to college myself. That probably helped me not to fall under Evans' spell.

Here's a great idea, NCC. Make that offer to Evans. I can just imagine how Evans' eyes will light up when he sees your offer. Tell him that you'll "like" all his twitter comments, for a fee, and that for just a little extra, you'll also bad-mouth Simon and KimSilvio in your comments here. Lol..

Evans' shenanagans take me mentally to an "other universe" paradigm. It's as though he has created a belief system and has now proselytized converts,... patreons and non-contributing proletariats, A loving, faithful wife tends to "forgive" to a point beyond ridiculous. A kind pat on her back, a sweet smile and a nod from her husband... and she's back in "hope for the best" mode,... even willing to subscribe to his bizarre paradigm if that will just get him to love her. Evans' contrived reality reminds me of the book "1984". See brief analysis below.
