JeffT, I'm up in the wee hours and finding some other rabbit holes of my own. I Googled the names of some "old friends" that I haven't seen in decades. The ones who have died, seem to have mostly died JW's. However, two elderly JW men choose not to have any funeral ceremony. If their wives stayed JW, and the men woke up, (which is what I suspect) that would be the only solution. I realize that this talk of obituaries is off-topic. I'm just so glad I got out of Watchtower, even though my youth and energy is gone. I get to "digest" what happened to me, and to us. Exjws from ten years ago didn't have our internet access. They had to wake up mostly only with Crisis of Conscience.

I found this:
https://www.facebook.com/AAWA.Official.Page
(AAWA) Advocates for Awareness of Watchtower Abuses is a legally incorporated educational organization committed to two key objectives:Educating the non-JW world community about harmful policies for which the Watchtower is not currently held accountable. These policies result in the high incidence of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, emotional damage due to extreme shunning of family members, needless deaths due to the banning of certain blood treatments and loss of personal growth and potential by demonizing higher education.Assisting those who wish to leave the organization by making it easier for such ones to get the help and support they need.AAWA is a charity registered in the UK and in the US -

You're funny, Listener. You mean like... Evans would be allowed to post a rebuttal in the new literary work being proposed here, but he would have to pay for that privilege? Would he pay per word?

Thisismein1972, I've seen that "crazy making" deletion technique before. The only remedy to it that I know of is to repeat a few key words from their previous post, enclosing them in quote marks, and saying...You said, "blah blah..". To that I reply, "blah blah...". But that makes for a very long and tedious conversation. And, when I use it I sound like either a lawyer or a paranoid. But it's the only way to not look like you're shadow boxing.
Well, either that or else delete ones own posts... which was probably the goal of the sparring partner.

Toblerone5, I gave you a "like" for posting such an informative price list. I hope no one thinks we are "liking" the "vile place" described at the link.

In the case of my own posts that misteriously disappeared on the YouTube channel where I was a moderator, I had taken a screenshot of my comment when I posted it. It was sometime later that I would return to find, to my dismay, that my comment had disappeared.
Nevertheless, as I said, Wally could be right.

Here's the link to that video, slimboyfat. https://youtu.be/7b6IvHVWBfg
I saved the link, but I don't remember the page of our Thread where I originally saw it.
Edit: You were faster than me, "was a new boy".

LMsA said,
"Wally’s (JW Thoughts) video about Lloyd lying to him about deleting a comment. He hit Lloyd hard and made the case he can’t be trusted on anything."
Though Wally could be right,... many times I've posted comments under a YouTube video that have "disappeared" when I returned to check for replies to my comment. This was usually when my comment had included a link. In these cases, I know that the channel owner had not deleted my comment, because I was a moderator. Also, several times a poster became angry at the channel owner, saying that their "respectful" post had been deleted, when neither the channel owner nor I had deleted it. And, sometimes posts that had disappeared would even inexplicably re-appear hours later. So, on this point, I have to say that Lloyd may have not deleted a particular comment. YouTube occassionally has a mind of its own. Oh, and if any random reader "reports" a comment to YouTube, the actual YouTube company moderators can delete the comment at their discretion.

I looked into the term "due diligence" and came across this small but helpful article:

Enhanced Due Diligence and Fake News – Why this is a Problem and What to Do About it
"At the end of the day it will come down to fact-checking. Did this event occur? Does the professor who was quoted in the article exist? Were those people in that photo actually at that place at that time? Was the product in question even available in the market at the time it was alleged to have been distributed?"
