back in the 90's the Wt. had a letter read to all congregations about not going to russels grave site.
THAT'S dirty. Having my hands on that letter could be priceless... I wonder if that letter is in one of Atlantis' posts.
i was telling my extended family (also non-jws) about the pyramid near russell's grave i saw months ago.
i showed them pictures of the four sides and the interesting inscriptions along with the pictures of the founder's grave.. there are a couple of jw women who come to see my cousin every once in a while.
last week, she mentioned the pyramid.

"you have no idea!
yes, people hate jws!".
this statement was made to me by a jw who had just left a meeting to present the notion that they were the persecuted christians.
Data... now THAT'S good....
for many years I held the notion it was only jw religion who were put into the camps by Hitler. The wts never mentioned the hundreds of RC priests who were imprisoned as well.
Aw c'mon Zeb. No way!
This is what must be pushing the persecutory delusion I'm seeing.

Okay, Step 1... check. LOL
Had I known that nobody knew of this, I would have taken pictures with a better quality camera long ago!
I'll take the 15 minute drive out there and add myself to the picture to make it real. :)
Problem is, these JW ladies are visiting my cousins and don't give advance notice.

"You have no idea! Yes, people hate JWs!"
This statement was made to me by a JW who had just left a meeting to present the notion that they were the persecuted Christians. I casually typed "Christians imprisoned in Korea" in my handy-dandy ipad pulled an article and replied,
"You said 700 JWs total? Okay, so, the other 69,300 imprisoned Christians must be non-JWs... " (while pointing to the figure in the article) "We should pray for all of them."
By hanging out here, I'm getting good at finding these gems! :) I just gotta get better at not running folks off. :(

JWs get a very sanitized view of WT history and are very uncomfortable with anyone who wants to look at the details.
I'm trying to plant seeds for awakenings and realizing people are getting really annoyed with those pesky little "details"...
Pretty scary when a several ton granite boulder is a "little detail."

Whoa... then these women who would live less than 20 miles from the founder's gravesite know nothing about the giant pyramid just feet from his grave?
This is amazing. I'll clear this up for my cousins and ask them to get clarification on the statement. Maybe they can... uh... increase the women's awareness.
i have never posted before.
i have been lurking for a few days and have decided to give it a try.
the subject of child abuse caught my eye.
I'm sickened by the story already...

There are a couple of JW women who come to see my cousin every once in a while. Last week, she mentioned the pyramid. She says they looked her straight in the eye and said, "that has nothing to do with us."
I asked her for clarification on the statement... were they saying the pyramid belonged to another wack religious denomination?... or were they saying that the JWs no longer have anything to do with the pyramid theories. She said the coldness with which they returned the answer has her concerned about re-inquiring.
Wouldn't the existence of the pyramid and its ties to the WTBTS be common knowledge amongst JWs?
hilarious - made my day.
who could forget senior pu?.

Those of you who feel slighted... maybe you can e-mail the webmasters about having your names included? *sigh*
the bible says that the personal name of god is jehovah/yahweh/jah etc.thing is,we don't know it's correct pronounciation (or the pronounciation of any hebrew name).the name jehovah as we know it today means "he causes to become".someone who causes something to become is just called "creator" or "maker".right?he gave that name to his self so that people or the angels could call him by a name.also, how was he called before the creation of the anything?how can some people claim to be his friends if they don't know his actual name?discuss.
Read this somewhere and copied it to my notes:
How did Jesus address YHWH?
Matthew 6:9
Matthew 11:25 Matthew 26:39-42 Mark 14:36 Luke 10:21 Luke 22:42 Luke 23:34 Romans 8:15 Galations 4:6
Jesus did not address him by his first name. Simple as that... If using a first name was a condition that had to be met for salvation, why wouldn't "Jehovah" tell Jesus to tell us that? How reliable is Jesus' information if He forgot both to tell us AND use His Father's name?
