  Personality types and religious adherence

  i was going through the personality types of the briggs-myers test (take the free test here) and noticed how some types are naturally inclined to follow rules and expect order, while others are inclined towards feelings and emotional appeals, other are naturally inclined to help out others ... what do you think?

  are there certain basic personality types that pre-dispose the individual to adhere to a certain type of religion ?.

  Non-JW who has tested ENFP 4 times in 20 years.

  My JW friend?... ISFP. It may take an emotional WTS beat-down to get him out of this perfectly structured environment. *sigh* I'm keeping my hopes up.

  Need help finding a watchtower!!

  hi everyone, i was hoping someone could help me with this!.

  yesterday my husband talk to his jw sister (they haven't talked in years) she found out by her other brothers that we no longer go to meeting .

  she grew up as a jw then left and married a "wordly person"got divorced and recently started going to the meetings.

  the foretold turn of gubberment on religion hasn't begun yet.

  that event is supposed to happen with a "swift pitch", an event that will be unmistakable at it's onslaught.

  for the time being, any violence toward "babylon the great" cannot be attributed to the fulfillment of revelation 18.. .

  So when I mentioned that in addition to the 700 incarcerated witnesses in South Korea there were 70,000 additional Christians in North Korea, this is how it was received and realized I had 70,700 additional people to pray for, this is how the informaton was received, huh...

  Old out-of-touch JWs using antiquated terms

  ever notice how completely out of touch some (most?

  ) public speakers are?.

  last week we had a speaker ramble on for fully 1/3, maybe 1/2, of his 30 minute talk on the evils of "rap music".. i don't believe the term "rap music" has been uttered by anyone under the age of 40 for at least 20-25 years.. this week we got another "older gentleman" warning us about the pervasive dangers of "internet chat rooms".. again - didn't "chat rooms" die out about the same time as dialing up to connect to aol?.

  It's not just the elderly JWs.

  If my JW friends had more non-JW friends, they'd probably realize that nobody uses the word "fornication" these days. Seems like I hear that word at least once a week.

  I visited the Catholic church associated with my old high school on Sunday for service.

  One of the robed men in the processional winked at me and smiled. I thought he looked familiar.

  At the start of the sermon, we were asked to give a warm round of applause for the new deacon and his family.... Dr. xxx xxxxx.
