My beloved just had a heart transplant. Greatest gift ever!
He also needed pints on top of pints of someone else's blood to survive the surgery.
Neither of us are or have ever been JW's. I broke up with a JW last year...
this thread is quite morbid so i apologize in advance.. a few days ago i was having a conversation with my girlfriend in which she mentioned in passing that she's signed up to donate her organs after her death.
i was quite surprised because she mentioned it like it was no big deal.
i asked her which organs.

as a non-jw, i now know of at least 3 american jws who have left the country, married some random person in a third world country and who have returned to the us alone.
there may be a 4th one soon.. it could be pure coincidence, but just thought i’d throw it out there to see if there’s some bizarre jw logic to this .
i’m no longer close enough to the group to hear any details so... could be purely coincidence.
The countries have included Africa, the Philippines and Japan? I think Japan.

Saename thanks for making me laugh. Yes, perhaps they’re all insane.

Not sure Sparrow. In fairness it could simply be immigration challenges. To my knowledge, these people’s other halves haven’t even been in the US.
i thought it was some kind of concern like ... heck I dunno... Jehovah didn’t like unhitched people in the new system or something.
It just seems over the top strange. Like I said... I’m not close enough to get a real answer.

Thoughts?
i'm sorry--i'm getting this very sensitive vibe that the org (mainly those at the top) don't have any respect--forget about love--for sisters of color.
i'm coming to this conclusion from a couple of videos on jw broadcasting about single sisters.. after watching this video: .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnjrbkggp4g.
I'm a "non and never been a JW" African American professional female with a couple of college degrees who was insanely curious about what all the commotion was about with respect to the convention videos. I too squirmed uncomfortably in my seat as I watched the African-American female cleaning toilets and struggling with her singleness. As a female person of color who is not in the JW world, the videos were insulting.
i voted today in nyc.
a well organized process.
very busy and most of the people voting were african american.
Hey Shirley...
I may be mistaken but I think that was a tongue in cheek message 😉 Go Hilary!!!
Thanks for the heads up NY44M. Now if I could only get that report from NC. 🙄 It is being said that our African American early voting numbers are way down which could be a challenge for Hilary so that's good to hear.
well how's it going round your way?
massive increase of interested ones?
did you even know it was supposed to be happening?
Is this effort to invite people for a limited time only (just October) or is it indefinite?
blondie’s highlights from the july 17, 2016 wt study (2016) (how do you make personal decisions?.

I love these, Blondie!
it seems that when i ask witnesses questions about 1914, they really don't understand the relevance to their message today.
i am told that they preach about the coming kingdom and that they don't preach a message of 1914. if a person doesn't understand 1914 then i can clearly see how showing them the inaccuracies of the doctrine wouldn't matter.
can we compile a list of ties 1914 has to their current beliefs?.
I need help.
