Ridiculous ways you kept your "time going" in service?

i used to go out early mornings with 2 pioneer elders, we would drive 20 miles out of the territory (a big no-no) to look for hikers to preach to lol of course there were never any hikers.

then off to starbucks for another hour lol easy way to count 2-4 hours.

i am chuckling as i write this, what a joke!.

now what was the deal with this one?

my cong strictly enforced the facial hair unwritten rule.

alot of bros starting growing soul patches, then the co cracked down on that too, no more, must be clean shaven, especially ms and elders.

@neatbluedog, ive been there also, eventually, I just ended up telling elders how i felt because I couldnt take it anymore. Bad idea, or maybe not? 😂

my story: i am a 27 year old ex jw.

former ms and regular pioneer at age 19. i was very active and had many "privileges" including district assembly and circuit assembly parts etc.

as an example for young people.

@scratchme dont feel bad...i dont think any of us were very good at being a jw and lied to ourselves to feel productive..we all make mistakes, be glad you are out now!

Flipper thanks alot! I have been reading this site for some time now before I joined and have enjoyed your posts. Tahoe is a special place for me. My mom grew up there and ive been there many times. My jw fam also camps there every july in meeks bay, that would be an awkward run in lol what part do you camp? Keep in touch!

Lol @nicolaou a soul patch is a patch of hair grown just under your bottom lip. I've personally only ever seen black and hispanic bros grown one

Lol I also was a weirdo. I did too many weird things as a jw to name off lol but now im much more "normal" 😂
