What was Paul's thorn in the flesh? What was it's real character?

Path, This painting is haunting. It portrays one of those Arthurian tales of a lady who was cursed never to look directly at anything outside of her window. She was only allowed to view the world by looking at it's reflections from her mirror. One day the hottie Sir Lancelot passed by her window and she became obcessed-she had to meet him. She went down to the river, finds a boat, scrawls her name on the front of it figuring she'd die before she got there and floats toward Camelot singing. She dies before she reaches the shore. A crowd gathered around the boat including Sir Lancelot who had no clue what happened-commenting what a shame this was because she was such a babe. What a twit.

What Do You Eat For Brakfast?
by Carmel inno attempt her at subtrafuge, just thought i'd kick off a subject with an anology.
when i eat breakfast, i usually have one of three things, something with eggs, something sweet or just the coffee!
how much of what i injest for the start of my day is controlled by the culture i live in and the habits i have come to consider "normal"?

I'm wondering if any of you who are experiencing the release from this bondage are aware of how much of limitations are still in place?
Carmel-How about every aspect of my life? Is that a little too much? It is impossible to ever be totally free of it's influence. How many years have you been on the outside and you're still here talking about it-for whatever reason you need too. We all do. That's not release from bondage-that sounds like therapy to me. We can all go on with our lives but the scar tissue will always be there
to some degree or other.Frenchy-I like my grits with a pat of butter and maple syrup.

Path, I also like the Joan Osborne-One of Us. There are many REM fans in my corner of the globe too. BTW, does your username have anything to do with Sarah McLachlan's song by the song by the same name?

Defining Christianity
by Carmel init seems i constantly am confronted with those who are trying to make a "christian" out of me.
in various threads on this forum the term is used as if everyone understands what it means and there is no fuzzy edges.. i wonder if all here assume that only those that follow "jesus" are to be considered "christian"?.
consider that the title "christ" was not the name of the nazarene, only a title!

I wonder if all here assume that only those
that follow "Jesus" are to be considered "christian?"I've always answered that question with a question of my own. Is our creator
so small as to have only constructed one road leading to his door? No. I hardly think so. I firmly believe Jehovah has revealed himself in many different ways to peoples of various cultures
throughout history. Thinking otherwise reflects our smallness and limitations of understanding. -

Spectromize!! It's so good to see you! In answer to your question I would have to say no also, but then there is Acts 25:11 which to me says that the courts are a proper place to appeal.
