The Coming Night
by Frenchy inafter such a compliment from seven i could be silent no longer!
isn't she a darling?
the night has long represented fear, the unknown, and death for man.

That was a goodie Frenchy. It made me think of the
concept of time being man's creation and not God's. Time would be of little significance to
a God with no beginning and no end. It's always at
night that I think of such things and it's usually
when I ask God for his protection. -

It has been my experience that it is difficult to really get to know short guys because they are always going out of their way to prove themselves.
I am 5'10" tall without heels so I've had my share
of dealings with short brothers over the years-most of them have been hard to get along with. -

With lines like that Frenchy, methinks you would have gotten over quite well in days of old.

Frenchy, I have not read that poem in many years-thanks. I must tell you that your poems are
better than Tennyson's. -

Frenchy, Some early writers such as Malalus and Nicephorus described Paul as being extremely short of stature-barely 5' tall by our system of measurement. IMO this could have much to do with his attitude toward women.

My dear French Knight, I do not know the whole story of the maid, however I do know something about Lancelot's inability to keep it in his armor. He betrayed Arthur with Guinnevere-remember? I think he's deserves to be labeled a twit IMO.

Carmel, Since Paul was a member of the Sanhedrin wasn't it required that all members of that council be married and fathers of families? It had something to do with being more inclined to merciful judgment. It's just a thought. There is no evidence to show that he was ever married.

To Meet or Not to Meet
by Frenchy inthis has been brought up from time to time in other posts relative to other arguments but i thought it deserved its own thread.. the first century christians formed congregations.
there is no debate about this.
that these congregations were not entities unto themsleves is attested to by the travels and subsequent letters of the apostle paul.

RedhorseWoman-I find it interesting that you used the words those that value a relationship with God instead of the word Christians. I'm not nitpicking here. I find myself using the word less and less-maybe because I'm not sure what the word really means anymore.
I am attracted to people who give light to the world just as in that Prov. The path of the just is a shining light. I would rather have one good discussion per month with such individuals than to be trapped in an unloving congregation. -

Simon-I was reading somewhere online where it was thought that Paul suffered from epilepsy. I had never heard of such a thing and wanted to post this here and see what others may know of this. I'm certain that the scriptures spoke of a bodily affliction and not his work as an apostle. I wish I would have bookmarked the site because it also discussed Paul being married.
