What have you learn being on this site?

i have learn a lot about the religion and congregations.

when i was active visiting meetings, i was there for the spiritual food.

i actually thought everyone else was there for same reason ;-) i have learn there's a great variation among jws.

The bible clearly described an organizational structure for christians to carry out worship. The problem is when people who lead glorify themselves...like the pope, or the GB. They call themselves God's channel...Jesus is that title, so this is where a good chunk of apostasy pours in. Very good point about not letting people develop their own relationship or conscience before God. This became abundantly clear to me when they started proselytizing the vaccine ahead of God's kingdom, just as governor Houchel asked.

No, just found this place. It looks like people discuss instead of hateful arguments.

The GB has done good work. They really push the preaching and make Jehovah's name known. But they also say Jesus came in 1914...Jesus said not to listen to people who said he had come before his time. The GB also teach the anointed are resurrected as soon as they die...we are warned that anyone who teaches the resurrection has happened is subverting the faith. There are 2 resurrections. The anointed (baptized christians) after Babylon is destroyed, then non christians end of the thousand years to judgment on their deeds. The latter join the survivors of Armageddon and Satan's last crusade. Right now, all humans who died are still dead, just as the scriptures taught until the last trumpet sounds.

I like the bible to explain itself. I encourage all to read the cited scriptures along with their chapters. If necessary, the fore and aft chapters as well. The context must be included. Keep in mind, the scriptures I quoted were written over roughly a 600 year span of time, and are consistent with their messages.

You post is what I discovered recently after deciding to test what I was taught. The GB teaches there are christians who are ressurected on earth and in heaven. I can find no evidence of an earthly christian resurrection, only heavenly. The scriptures you cited clearly show who the holy ones are, and what the rearward is.

absolute worst case scenario, the last of the generation that saw the events of 1914 would have died off would be in the mid to late 1990's!

so we were told in the 1980's!

so now we 3/4 of another generation past that!.

1914 is not a scriptural teaching. There are two ressurections. One of christians after Babylon is destroyed and then destroy the nation's with Jesus to usher in the thousand years. The great crowd are the survivors of the great tribulation and live the thousand year reign. At the end, Satan is let loose, and he and his followers are destroyed. After that is the second ressurection of those who did not get baptized based on their deeds.

1914 is not a biblical teaching. They cite Daniel chapter 4 as the "key" to understanding the 7 times but Daniel 4 has nothing to do with that, Jesus was not citing that from Daniel. He was referencing daniel9 Daniel 11. Revelation 11:2 is a good followup to what Jesus was talking about, by Jesus in revelation to Paul.

Today religious leaders from all branches of Christianity accomplish good things while teaching apostasy. The apostles said that apostasy would be ripe after he and the others died, and is how we are refined by testing the apostasy against the bible to know our God. This is seen in the letters to the 7 congregations in revelation. Today, christians are the same as the parisees in Jesus day when he told them;

Matthew 15:7 "You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you when he said:8 ‘This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me.9 It is in vain that they keep worshipping me, for they teach commands of men as doctrines.’”

Christians in first century so quickly started to act like Pharisees and revere people like Paul or Apollos, creating sects and teach commands of men, instead of Jesus who died. Paul rebuked them for this and was glad he was not the one who baptized them.

This is why you need to pray for humility and understanding so you can understand God's word through man's apostasy which are commands of men as doctrine. The congregation is there, imperfect run by men and full of apostasy, so keep your garments clean. Revelation 3:4
