  Will the Watchtower Company in the near future start asking for a tithe?

  it appears that the borg has some financial issues and i would think they are related to the hush money being paid out for the child molestation lawsuits to protect the guilty cult members and the fine untarnished reputation of the jdubs.. we have seen how much the borg refers to the hebrew scriptures for their guiding principles whenever it suits the borg's needs.

  tithing certainly is laced throughout the old testament.

  under the mosaic law, there were three tithes.

  Higher Education allowed - new light.

  = Bring in higher $$$ from tithing based on higher education.

  My dad RIP

  my dad died 2 weeks ago on sunday.

  i will miss him so much.

  he was the funniest most greatest man i have ever known.. granted for the first 30 years i wasnt that much keen on him and i don't think he was on me much either.....let me explain.. mum and dad met in 1964, mum was the prettiest girl in the town, mini skirts, raised hair, the daintiest figure, she looked the spit of audrey hepburn at breakfast at tiffanys.

  i remember reading once about some young pioneer sisters who needed emergency accommodation and where turn away from brooklyn because they weren’t special pioneers.

  charity begins at home..

  i live in the sierra nevada foothills of california; a selling point for prospective homeowners in the slightly lower elevation is what is touted in the subject title.

  well, right now we are being blasted by a storm barreling down from canada, with hazardous driving and blizzard conditions in the offing, higher up.. as to fog, this photo offers a rare display of misty conditions over our lake, that after the last major rain storm.

  it reminds me of summer days of my youth on the pacific coast..

  hi please can someone explain this in laymans terms for me coz i be ever got it as a jw and still don't.

  it doesn't make sense to me.

  bible chronology indicates that god’s kingdom was established in heaven in 1914. this is shown by a prophecy recorded in chapter 4 of the bible book of daniel.. overview of the prophecy.

  OTWO - you are correct. here is how CTR arrived at 1874, measuring the Pyramid of Giza:

  ""So, then, if we measure backward down the "First Ascending Passage" to its junction with the "Entrance Passage," we shall have a fixed date to mark upon the downward passage. This measure is 1542 inches, and indicates the year BC 1542, as the date at that point. Then measuring down the "Entrance Passage" from that point, to find the distance to the entrance of the "Pit," representing the great trouble and destruction with which this age is to close, when evil will be overthrown from power, we find it to be 3416 inches, symbolizing 3416 years from the above date, BC 1542. This calculation shows AD. 1874 as marking the beginning of the period of trouble; for 1542 years BC plus 1874 years AD. equals 3416 years. Thus the Pyramid witnesses that the close of 1874 was the chronological beginning of the time of trouble such as was not since there was a nation -- no, nor ever shall be afterward.   When Will Jehovah`s Witnesses Appoint A Woman As A Governing Body Member.? It`s Long Overdue !

  jehovah himself gives the saying "the women telling the good news are a large army" psalms 68 : 11 coupled with the fact that a good portion of women partake of the emblems and wine at the annual memorial celebration.. identifying themselves as part of the 144000 that are taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens.. isn`t it about time they were recognized for their contributions and given the fact that gods word the bible clearly states that 144,000 of anointed are to be taken from the earth which many women are a large part of.?.

  revelation ch.14 :4 could be argued that they are not lesbians { "these are the ones who do not defile themselves with women ,in fact they are virgins, etc,etc.}.

  i wonder just how many men who claim to be of the anointed have not defiled themselves with women and are virgins.?.

  oh Dubstepped - thank you for sharing your letter (again?). It made a tear present itself in my eye. I especially liked: "The original lie was that humans would not have to die, and would know right from wrong. Who else has a similar message today?" and "Why is that if worldly relatives raised a fuss about one becoming a Witness it is called persecution, yet when one leaves the Witnesses it is called love?"

  Some very thought provoking questions/ideas.

  keep finding myself singing them without realising and it's getting annoying lol.
