  Abortion

  i don't know if any of you brits saw the 'this morning' show today but they had a woman on it whos mother had tried to abort her at 7 and a half months pregnant, apparentely they gave her mum some stuff to drink which burns the baby inside and out, but fortunately this baby survived and now as a woman she is campaigning for anti abortion laws to be brought in.. so, what are your views on abortion?

  I believe in the US it would be illegal to abort in the seventh month except out of medical necessity. I've always understood that 'abortion on demand' only applies to the first trimester. Am I correct?

  this story comes from great britain.

  karen wright, a nurse, was on her way to the kingdom hall, which is only about 400 yards from her home, when she was stabbed three times by an unknown man assailant.

  police are looking for clues.. see "maniac knifes nurse on way to church".

  are the members of the gb common knowledge amongst the rf?

  i actually never knew the names until i came upon jwd, but are those members mentioned in the publications and is it only apostates that know about the two new members of the gb, cause i mentioned it to an active jw friend last night and she had no idea and wondered where i got that information.

  i told her i couldn't remember where i read that.

  is there life after death or does everything end there until the resurrection?

  all ex jws were at one time taught that there is no life after death except for a tiny elite group who are destined to never taste death by immediately entering into a spiritual angel like body and will carry on living albeit in a different dimension.

  far from dreading death to them it is a blessing since it sends them into a new far more glorious life.

  howdy all - i'd like to enlist the help of some of the bible experts on this forum.

  the main jehovah's witnesses article on wikipedia has been pretty thoroughly filled with correct and embarassing wts doctrine.

  we've been able to get the disfellowshipping and shunning section to stick, as well as mention of the "examination period" of 1914-1919, and general slaughter at armageddon.

  Nate, anything biased or inaccurate is quickly corrected. Many of the entrees are written by experts in their field. When you're a member and make changes, if it's inaccurate, it will be deleted unless you can provide some verification for that. As a member you can easily view which entrees have had changes made to them recently.
  
  I was skeptical of an open source encyclopedia as well, but the way it's set up seems to work.
