  I went back and read some of your previous posts and I believe I read that you are annointed. Have you given much thought on how all annointed will end up in heaven. I understand that they must all be there by the time Armageddon. I see by the figures that there are around 8,000 left, but of course we know that many of those are not real annointed. I imagine only half of those are really annointed.

  I have a question. Do you think that the Great Tribulation will begin with a financial meltdown? If so, how would that be related to the fall of Babylon the Great?

  if a dud came to your door and said, we no longer shun ex members let's become friends again.

  if the wt said the preaching work has ended.. if wt encouraged the members to vote in all elections.

  if the blood ban was removed.

  Gopher: Yes, it means what you said. Scary thought ain't it? I believe that many will die during the great tribulation, when governments turn against world religions. There is no way that religious leaders will just sit there while the UN closes them down. They will fight and lose. After that, Jehovah will turn his attention against all man governments and all that support them. Seeing how patriotic people can be, that will mean billions will support their governments, putting themselves against Jehovah's Kingdom. So they will die also.

  You Know: I was under the impression that the first child of David and Bathsheba was not put to death directly by the hand of Jehovah. The child was born sick and died of natural causes, maybe because of the effects that the emotions of Bathsheba had on the womb. But I don't know if I read that in any publications or if I heard it somewhere else.

  i went to my local library and they did not have a copy.

  is there a copy up on the web somewhere?

  i'm sure somebody has to have it, almost anything can be found on the web nowadays.. buying it is out of the question, i live with my parents.. i appreciate any help given.

  I appreciate your offer SixofNine. I do not have a worldly friend that I can trust. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't have any worldly friends. I do not have a car, so I depend on my mom driving me everywhere. The PO Box would arise a lot of questions from my parents if they were to know.

  My only way to read the book is online or if someone were to scan some pages and email them to me. Is this possible?

  last night at meeting they told us to just use our blood cards from last year.

  in the past they've always told us how important it was to get it signed every year so that people could see our current views as jw's.....doesn't this new arangement negate everything they've ever said in regards to this?

  The brother read part of a letter sent to them by the Society and he made copies for all book study conductors in case any of the brothers had any questions.

  So he did know what he was talking about and obviously you don't.

  1957 in Bible Prophecy

  an internet site published a couple of years ago a portion of chapter 10 of coc detailing a schroeder, klein, suiter proposal that the phrase this generation of matt.23:34 began in 1957. the idea was that the power of heaven was shaken with the onset of the space age, notably the launching of the first sputnik.. the fact sheet given each governing body member to study was reproduced in the franz book.

  evidently, the gb considered the merits of this proposal, deciding to stick with the view of this generation that was current at the time.. this little tidbit affected me greatly, moving me to order coc.

  that such a whimsical, ludicrous concept would be entertained by grown men, let alone spirit-directed men astonished me.. as an elder, if a brother had approached me with this idea, my inclination would have leaned toward his having serious mental health issues.. .

  Why is there so much discussion over this?

  The reason there were no cards is simple. The brother explained it during his talk saying that the Society did print the cards, but there was an error. They only caught the error after the cards were sent to the congregations. He said that we should use cards that have the 3/99 printing date on them.

  Simple. Why all the conspiracy theories? lol...
