i have to admit, i've been kinda watching this nervously.

it's too close to a slippery slope to just come in and take kids from a religion en masse, but at the same time, forcing underage girls into marriages is sick sick sick.. .

what causes Mothers to stop protecting their children in favor of a man? It's been proven again and again. Some women just stop thinking for themselves and refuse to protect their children in favor of the vices of a man

Absolutely blows your mind, doesn't it?

I mean, what is it about a man that women will actually turn the lives of their children over to? I don't get it. Never have. Never will.

One word, IN MY OPINION, describes them: weak.

And each second that goes by , FOR THEIR TRAPPED CHILDREN, they become even weaker.

It's time they get off their pity pots and start absolutely protecting their children from these TYPES of men.

i doubt youll even read this letter since it comes from your son, a son youve abandoned over your religious views, but i wanted to write you one final letter to see if theres any hope that you can come to your senses as far as this religion goes and we can renew our relationship.

im doing this because i care for you and mom deeply and feel very much distressed that you two refuse to see anyones opinion as being factual other than your own when it concerns the jw religion.

yet, how else are we to interpret the death of emma gough?.

There is a huge difference in letting someone control you and having something forced upon you. It seems like the majority of people here refuse to except personal accountability when it comes to doing what the WTS dictated or following it's every whim. Adults and the key word here is adults are not physically forced to follow the society. They had just as much chance as anyone else (especially this day and age) to look in to the society and see it for what it is.

And until the active jws, whether they are attending meetings, or door to door work or not, actually stand up and STATE what they KNOW to be the truth among the lies, nothing will EVER change.

Take what you NOW KNOW and tell it to those that NEED to hear it. If you can't seem to do this then you are denying those forgotten children the right to a healthy, happy and SAFE life.

It is time people, to get off the pity pot and do the right thing.

Burger, I feel about this issue the exact same way you do: there is no longer ANY excuse to not be stating what you now know, in order to SAVE LIVES. aLL THE LAME EXCUSES IN THIS WORLD AREN'T GOING TO HELP ONE ENTRAPPED JW CHILD. (damn capslock)

seems this woman is always, and i mean always, absent from topics related to religious conflicts.. again, today, when cultic behavior [ lds raid in texas] is discussed as a hot topic, she's not there.. a few weeks ago, there was the topic of the child that died due to the parents thinking god would heal her.

sheri was not there.. it's really starting to piss me off.. there have also been ample opportunities for her to speak out about abuse that goes on in jw religion.

she never takes it.. yesterday she reveals that when she had an opportunity to look at princes credit info, she took it.. i'm about to fire off an email and ask point blank, why she keeps avoiding (by being absent) these topics.. anyone else notice this about her?.

So what! So kids that she could very possibly help, by speaking up, and out, are pushed aside because "she may still have family in"? Is that what you are saying, any of you?

That is so ludicrous.
