  i know it's dumb to think it would make sense.

  i've been telling myself to lay low because everytime i ask a question now my husband says i have a negative attitude and i sound like an apostate.

  hmmm wonder why.

  @berrygerry my husband suggested I write in to the society and ask. I told him that would not be wise. I guess I should be more respectful.

Hmmm wonder why. Anyway there have been several articles within recent memory that really hammered home that the great crowd aren't God's children until after the 1000 years are up. I read the posts in another thread and looked up a bunch on my own. So how can they spend the whole Watchtower droning on about what a loving Father God is? I asked my husband that and he said of course he's our Father because he made us. The closest the watchtower gets to this is in discussing Acts 17 where Paul says (RNWT) that we are his children that we his product. Wow thanks dad that sounds real loving. I can't find a scripture they use to back the idea that God is the father of the great crowd now. I know it's all nonsense but how do people not notice this stuff?

  Is it true that they decided not to build Walkill Recreation center and then buried the foundation?

  i saw this on ex jw reddit:"this may not be news to you but it was to me.

  forgive me if this has already been posted before.

  it came from a reliable source working on the warwick project.. wallkill bethel had broken ground and laid the foundation for a new recreation building.

  I have heard from a Wallkill Bethelite that they aren't building the recreation center. They didn't say anything about burying the foundation but I'm sure that's what happened because I remember them pointing out where it was going to be.

  Wallkill is "the farm" and so is different from the new world headquarters in Warwick. It's not much of a working farm anymore but that's how many JWs think of it

  No more printing of WT and Awake in my country.. Shit just got real

  guys .

  a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.

  i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

  They stopped the public edition of the watchtower in Nepali all together about 6 months ago and awake is a quarterly magazine. The public watchtower isn't available online either. No explanation was given. So this had happened before. I'm sure other niche languages are going through the same thing

  @simon you can download the videos into the jw library app on a mobile device. So it just chews your battery not your data. This is a very poorly designed app btw. It's really hard to get to the videos

  also, my wife has come to her limits of understanding me about the witnesses related grief i have been having.

  she has told me many times to stop reading the ex-witness sites because i get depressed and become angry, which sadly is true.

  it's not very productive to be sad throughout the entire day and then shout at your wife for the reason she has no first hand experience about, therefore how could she possibly know and help?

  we just had an elder drop by and invite my wife to the kh with a 21 day old baby.. i thought it was kind of classless.

  When we had our first child they wanted to have a shepherding call with us because we didn't come to meetings right away. I almost died in childbirth and they were freaked because it took us a month to come to meetings. Oh and my husbands work was cut back and he was scrambling so we would have rent money. But go in peace, keep warm and well fed. You could just feel the love.

  @magnum @crazyguy @cofty I realize now I've been almost awake for years but would use thought stopping. "It can't be--this is the truth" My former Bible student showed me the UN evidence and that was it. I shared that with my husband but he was uninterested in the implications. I've shared a lot of my research with him, 607 vs 587 etc to no avail. With the kids I just spilled my guts. Literally after 20 minutes they were out. We kept talking for 4 hours, showed them royal commission videos, etc. and they see it for what it is. I guess the direct approach worked for once lol.

  one year ago today, you, tony, woke me up to the fact that the governing body could not have jehovah's blessing or direction.. last year, on november 8th & 9th, 2014, the united states branch visit was broadcast to over 1,000,000 jehovah's witnesses across the country.. as i sat at the kingdom hall listening to the "historic occasion," i was ignoring certain doubts that had surfaced in the few months prior.
