someone replied to a post i entered and got me thinking what others perceive about us due to the nicks or id we have chosen.

some of the nicks i am sure are just self explanatory , others are cute, or simple.

although i suspect that very many in this room,took time to think of theirs and definitly the nick holds some little secret as to who they are as a person.

I spent my whole twenties being unhappy because I was trying to prove how smart I was and how my way was the right way. I was always looking for someone to do something to me that I didn't like so I could confront them. I almost destroyed my marriage and I was going through a horrible time in my life and I heard this song and just sobbed and sobbed and said I want to be the kind of woman that he's singing about. I want my husband to say things like that about me. So I made a conscious decision to try to "shimmer". And four years later I feel like I'm well on my way, and my thirties are looking pretty good.

The other side of the coin

beautifulgarbage's post about the rocks and beck's post about living life over again reminded me of something that i have on my refrigerator that i try to live by.

i am thankful...... for the teenager who is not doing dishes and watching tv, because that means he is at home, not on the streets.. for the taxes that i pay, because it means that i am employed.. for the mess to clean after a party, because it means that i have been surrounded by friends.. for the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means i have enough to eat.. for my shadow that watches me work, because it means i am out in the sunshine.. for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing, because it means i have a home.. for all the complaining i hear about the government, because it means that we have freedom of speech.. for the parking spot i find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means i am capable of walking and that i have been blessed with transportation.. for my huge heating bill, because it means i am warm.. for the lady behind me in church that sings off key, because it means i can hear.. for the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means i have clothes to wash. .

for weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means i have been capable of working hard.. for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours, because it mean that i am alive.. and what's the use in living if you spend your whole life complaining, so always try to look at the bright side.. shimmer

good morning all...can not wait to put my 40 yrs of jwism to paper...i am excited about the outcome cuz i am definately going to use names...got something about the russelites in the mail the other day and have been reading up on them and find them very interesting bible students..subject #2.dan hall scoffed about it (rusellites) well for me it just makes it all the more interesting 4 me to check into..subject #3.i can not help chuckle queenie has been deemed on this forum by some a weirdo -- why of course i am a weirdo -- no one is perfect not even i / jesus died on the cross for my sins tooooo !!!!

No, I don't have a thing for the letter D, it just happened that way.

p.s. After I picked my top 3 I came back and saw the link to the quiz. I took it and guess what it said? o.k. you don't have to guess, I'll tell ya: Your totem animal is the DOLPHIN. I think that letter is as funny as hell. Dr. Laura is a rude bitch. I used to listen to her all the time. Especially when I was a witness. I used to be as judgemental as her. Since i've changed I can't stand to hear her voice. She doesn't even let people have a chance to talk most of the time. People are nervous when they call her and she picks up on one thing they say and runs with it, when that may not even give an answer to their problem. People may call with a question on how to handle something and she somehow turns it around on them and makes them look bad, when maybe they didn't even do anything wrong. I know, because I called her once and she was the rudest bitch to me and cut me off when I tried to respond to her.
