given, god's true organization is different from all other organizations that claim to represent him do to several familiar factors (love among themselves, keeping congregation clean, etc.).
given, jehovah's witnesses claim to be this organization.. given, jehovah's witnesses in reality are not substantially different in this regard from any other organization.. conclusion: jehovah's witnesses break their backs and minds and the backs and minds of their followers to try and pretend that they are different, leading to cover ups, internal political manuveuring, harmed children, family and individual stress, etc.
Good point Joel. Imperfect organization claiming to be better than other imperfect organizations. Each one has problems, just different problems. They claim their way of serving God is better than anyone else's way of serving God. Who do they think they are that they can say that someone's faith and worship is not acceptable? Isn't that up to God to decide, not man.

last week in the columbus dispatch an article was published that told people how insurers are cancelling policies of homeowners who own certain breeds of dogs.
the quote below is an editorial in today's paper, regarding the article.
I may get blasted for this but I totally agree with the insurance company. My kids and I like to go for walks around the neighborhood. There is this one house that has a HUGE Rotweiller. It is in a kennel but every time we walk by the house it barks fiercly like it wants to eat us and tries its damndest to jump out of the kennel. It scares the sh** out of me every time. To the point I almost don't even want to go by the house. Now why should I have to live in fear of going for a walk because someone wants to keep a monster in their yard? What is the point of having that dog? It can't be for protection because it's in a kennel. And you could get a less fierce dog to bark if someone came on your property.

My husband and I met when we were 14 years old. We went to the same hall, and school. However it would take us 5 years before we started dating. In the meantime I dated his cousin and he dated numerous friends of mine. We had a love hate relationship. I think because we were attracted to each other but were with other people we purposely acted like we couldn't stand each other. Finally when we were 19 we were both single and we couldn't stay away from each other any more and now we have been together for 15 years.

we had a post going recently about slave reparations in the united states.
it led to some pretty heated and interesting discusions from all sides.
at one point i pointed out that more people are enslaved today than at any time in history (twenty seven million).

I didn't know that about chocolate. But I did see a news show about the diamond mining and how it is being done by slave labor. So now every time I see a woman with a huge rock on her hand I want to tell her about it. But I probably wouldn't get a very good response.

hello, i am new to this website, but have to be straightforward and say that i do not agree with most subjects and contents.
i am an active jehovah witness, but i am very lonely so i am looking for others with the "hope" or to speak to those that know someone that does.

You keep saying that you are looking for young annointed. Do you think you will find any here? If not, what is your real purpose here? Do you really think that we haven't all heard it before? If you are tryig to persuade us to return to the flock, so to speak, give it up. We're not falling for it again!!!! Trust me on that one. And if one of us did decide to return, God forbid, it would not be because of some anonymous person on a message board, who may or may not be telling us the truth.

I went to a Nascar race one time and it was so funny because there was no line for the women's bathroom, but there was a constant long line for the men's. So of course I had to taunt them every time I walked by. BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Both times that I went to the Lilith fair, us women took over the men's bathroom. The guys didn't seem to mind. There were even some girls who went pee in the urinal. They got applause!!

" interestingly enough, both her and my son and me all picked the same thing, which was stealing.
Good point dmouse about people not wanting to reveal their dark fantasies. I do have a friend that I asked, tell me that he would like to murder or rape someone. Which I have to say was quite disturbing to hear. Of course after I made him feel like Jack the Ripper for admitting to that, he changed it to getting revenge on someone he doesn't like by kicking the sh** out of him.
