Are you paying him to go away or so you can walk away? I would tell him to ask the congregation or pound sand. I have some small fights with my wife about helping her parents. They were condescending and though me never good enough witness to marry her. Now they are in abject poverty and I don't feel the need to help. I am sorry they are in that position but they made every link in the chain.

How many JDubs would believe this ridiculous statement?
by Sour Grapes ina circuit overseer or a member of the gibbering body is giving a talk about demonism and he says the following, "there was an elder in a congregation in california who let his 8-year-old daughter watch disney movies that involved witches, gremlins, magic, and sorcery.
many may feel that they are harmless movies and are just entertainment.
well, the 8-year-old daughter actually brought a blue smurf doll to the public talk and watchtower study.

OP is this something that really happened or are you wondering if it did how many would buy it? I don't think personally living through the Smurff BS I ever heard anything from the platform. I was told a lot of crap by elders in person. From gloves with ceramic dust from demon possessed plates tying to strangle an elder to the eyes of photos turning red. But not as much from the platform in the way of actual Smurff demons. I know others have.

"Blood Guilty"
by new boy inguilt is such a wonderful tool used by the jehovah’s witnesses.
one of the terms they love to use is the term “blood guilty.” they have actually used this term to guilt their members into doing more and more “house to house activity” yes, they have said on numerous occasions at their kingdom halls and other major gathering that a person “could be blood guilty” for not going out in the field service activity enough.
the reason is simple.

Its not just the guilt of not going in service and being blood guilty. Its all of the shit together that creates a huge mind control cult. They end up making people do unnatural things. Turn their backs on their family and go to meetings when DFed to be treated like a pariah. Its all so unnatural its crazy. To give up you one life for some promise that has proven to be wrong 100% of the time. When we were young and in it was just the way it was, now looking back its asshat crazy.

I watched this show in full. Netflix Afflicted. These people to the one had mental issues. There is not such thing as Electromagnetic hypersensitivity or the other crap. This could easily be tested and in fact in the case of Carmen she did not know about the EMC of the wireless mike and it was not an issue. Mental problems are real that is a fact but these people do not have some environmental illness. I used to see the old quack medical instruments in antique stores and think that this was a crazy age when ignorant people would believe anything. Then I saw all the quacks rapping people of their money. Thousands of dollars for BS treatments. Like the mold renovation in the case of Jill. If you tested 1000 homes every one would test pos. for black mold. The spores are everywhere. Lead and other metals are in the enviroment naturally and its in elevated levels they become dangerous. I blame the eco nuts who go crazy about the end of the world to the point where mentally ill people are scared crap-less.

Another JW "friend" bites the dust
by TerryWalstrom injust got word one of my favorite friends died a year ago!
only now have i heard about it.
he remained a devout jehovah's witness--so--he could not/would not speak to me.

Its a strange situation that former JWs lose friends and family before they lose them. So in reality you lose them twice once they pass away. Then to rub salt in the wound you go to a funeral, if you are even invited and get to hear a recruitment propaganda speech. God do I hate this cult.

I have a father in law who now living in poverty with his wife in a home for Alzhimers patients paid for my medicaid and care, is telling his grand daughter to go to collage and get some kind of education that can help her get some kind of job other than burger king. If she goes for liberal arts or other stupid majors than its just a waste of money.

DFed talking to other DFed
by blownaway ini don't know if they do this any longer but back in the day they had a special section at an assembly sectioned off for dfed people who would have to wear a ribbon that said disfellowshipped.
do they still do this and what was the rules on dfed talking to dfed at the assembly?

I received a post from another person who remembers the tags and set aside seating for DFed at some assemblies in the North Midwest area. It seems it was not wide spread. One of the people who is published and worked at Bethal said that she knows it was not something that came down from HQ but will ask older ones to see if anyone remembers it. I thought it was everywhere. It reminds me of how in Northern Michigan they were very conservative. No parties for teens, dance parties especially, not going to any after school hours function ect. There was a JW friend of mine whos father moved up north for 75. When it did not happen he needed to feed his 8 kids so moved to California during the recession of the late 70s and 80s. My friend would write back telling me about the beach parties and other things that would be a JC hearing if it were in the Midwest.

I put this topic out on several other forums to see if anyone remembers this. Sounds like it was not wide spread or at the HQ direction.
