@ Disassociated Lady 2
My apologies; I misread that your father had passed away.
do you remember that my dad passed away last year and i was going back to the witnesses after 26 years?
i got reinstated after going there for 9 months.
in the 5 months since then i felt the men in the congregation didn't want me there.

Hello Disassociated Lady 2
Sorry to read of your terrible experience. You are better off out of the cult and here's hoping that your Dad sees how badly you have been treated. The folks on this forum will always be here should you have the need to 'blow off steam'.
All the best to you.
when the co is visiting, i think i hear "thank you , jehovah, for this special week of activity" until i want to vomit.. also "jehovah, please remember those sick and afflicted.
we pray that they can make a recovery and be back with us.".
stale, canned, institutionalized garble.
I hated having to pray in front of the congregation and was never any good at it.
What really got my back up were those prayers that went on and on. You'd think that the brother was giving a public talk!
one of my interests is music and i play an acoustic guitar.. i wrote a poem about my guitar and thought i'd share it with you.
my poem doesn't match up to some of compound complex's work however, i'd really appreciate any feedback you can give.. my guitar my friend.
reaching for my old companion.
Thanks for posting folks.
I only have two guitars; my Tanglewood TW1000 Heritage and a Classical guitar. I tried an electric guitar but struggled playing fast arpeggios, so now I stick to my trusty acoustic and all those fancy chords.

Hello CoCo
Thankyou for your post and encouragement. Really appreciate it.
Once again; where are all the other musicians and poets / lyricists?
not too sure how long it will be, but i think that i will not be in a position to look at this site.. i met some cool friends on here.
i enjoyed having the speedy access to the private correspondence before the elders.
thanks atlantis, and all those that have had a share in this.
Good luck, and all the best to you.
a few years ago while traveling in the northeast, my wife and i stopped in new haven, connecticut, at a b&b we'd reserved for the night.
no sooner had we unpacked and moved into the living room for tea and treats, our hosts began to talk about religion, and we learned they were jehovah's witnesses.
i didn't mind so much, but my wife was outraged that our hosts would use their place of business as a launching point to do missionary work.
Interesting experience and thanks for sharing.
As you were paying guests, they should have respected your and your wife's stance on the matter.
IMO; not a good advertisement for their business.
i hope you are all well.
i haven't posted in a little while.
i've just been adjusting and enjoying my new life outside of the org.
@ BeautifulMind;
Great post and thanks for sharing. Good on you for standing your ground.
