My suggestion; move on with your life. They don't care about you so why should you even acknowledge their existence.
Onwards and upwards as they say!
i have recently been disfellowshipped (after being reinstated in march).
i saw a group of jws gathered in the town car park yesterday.
they seemed startled when they recognised my car and talked amongst themselves giving one another a satisfied grin!

i'd love to see you're favorite wt illustrations/photo's that they think are fine to print - but are actually kind of creepy/wierd.. .
here's my three fave from my book of bible stories (yes, a book for children!)..

Coming in late on this topic;
A number of the pictures in the WT publications are disturbing - creepy as hell.

Happy birthday Adin. I hope you have a great day with your family and friends.
if you were part of a judicial committee, and knowing what you know now, what was it like for you to sit on jc’s?
how did you feel if someone was reproved or df’d?
were you ever on a jc and you disagreed with someone being reproved or df’d and were overruled – how did you feel?

What was it like for you to sit in on elders meetings and having to kowtow to, and forced to uphold, the Org’s policies and procedures which you thought were morally and fundamentally wrong. Were you ever in a position at these meetings where you felt 'bullied or ganged up on' by some longer serving elders?
I was never an elder so I’m curious as to what it was like for you behind the scenes.
greetings, fellow posters:.
wishing you well and offering my sympathy if you've ever experienced vertigo.
my neighbor is a physical therapist and told me about the epley maneuver, which i am now researching.. have you ever been through this hell of total incapacitation?.
I suffered with vertigo on one occasion. Definitely not a pleasant experience.
i still go to the meetings because of my in wife and it came about that the elders knew of my pissed off attitude about the society getting involved in the un.
so the elders said they could help me get over that and wanted to meet with me.
now just to let you know, i have only told my wife and her mom so far about it, that's it.
You keep hearing the elder say, "this is apostate!" again and again, and it really sinks in. In essence he was calling me an apostate simply for finding a news article critical of JW's. .... LTPF
By responding with 'this is apostate' without even considering the article proves to me that that elder had no answer and lost his case. Only option available to him is being the aggressor and using his 'power and position' against you.
besides being raised in the religion , why do people become jws?
.
My parents converted. I was only 8 years old at the time. Over a passage of time it ended up being wasted years.

Thanks for posting.
Yep, the chickens are coming home to roost. I'll definitely finish watching these videos.
i was thinking this morning in context with the shunning practice- which we all know is a degrading and abusive routine carried out among all brainwashed jw's to those who have sinned/left the org etc.. so with that in mind, how does shunning differ from the silent treatment to jw's?
both are similar in definition... silent treatment.
: an act of completely ignoring a person or thing by resort to silence especially as a means of expressing contempt or disapproval.shun, shunning: persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.based on jw teachings which i stupidly accepted back when i was asleep and under mind control, i didn't give it two thoughts on how both acts are related.. i do remember an article in a wt which spoke of how the silent treatment is a harsh and abusive form of discipline, but then they twist it back and claim that shunning is a loving provision?
I agree. The Org can spin it anyway they like however, shunning and 'giving the cold shoulder' are one and the same.
