  My Introduction

  this is my first post and i'm feeling like i'm doing something bad big time!

  i know on my mind it isn't, but the feelings are less manageable.. well, since i'm still a jw it's better not to give too much info, but i'm from brazil.. i've grown-up in the religion and practicly all my family, my closest friends and my girlfriend are loyal jws.

  i used to be a regular pioneer but i still have a service privilege on my congregation.. i've had questions about the teachings of the wt since i was 10, but naturally i always pushed it away as it were "questioning the holy organization".. i started a friendship with some people in a course i took and we talked about a lot of subjects.

  Who are the trolly dolly jobos?

  so, i've been away from any meetings of the jobos for around 5 years.

  i'm glad i'm out but the fallout and loss damn near destroyed me.

  but, being a stiff upper lip brit, i 'kbo.

  The org is continuously banging on about the urgency to preach, yet there appears to be little urgency in setting up a cart and waiting on everyone else to approach them.

  BBC News: Contaminated blood scandal inquiry announced (Expect Some JW Propaganda Over This!!)

  an inquiry will be held into the contaminated blood scandal that left at least 2,400 people dead, the prime minister has confirmed.. it will establish the causes of the "appalling injustice" that took place in the 1970s and 1980s.

  nhs patients were given blood products that were infected with diseases, such as hepatitis c and hiv.. families of those who died will be consulted about what form the inquiry should take.. it could be a public hillsborough-style inquiry or a judge-led statutory inquiry, prime minister theresa may confirmed.. the prime minister's spokesman said: "it is a tragedy that has caused immeasurable hardship and pain for all those affected and a full inquiry to establish the truth of what happened is the right course of action to take.. "it is going to be a wide-ranging inquiry.".

  NWT - revised 1984 vs revised 2013 versions

  in the latest 2013 revision the footnote of john chapter 8 states; a number of ancient and authoritative manuscripts omit vs 53 (of chapter 7) to chapter 8, vs. 11.. yet the 1984 revision quotes a similar footnote, however the passage of scripture is included in the text, albeit separately at the bottom.

  this passage of scripture is about the scribes and the pharisees who brought a woman that was accused of adultery before jesus to test him on the punishment to be meted out.

  then came his famous reply; let the one of you that is sinless be the first to throw a stone at her.. i just found it interesting that the wtbts would leave this out in the latest revision.

  Why do ones that got out come back in?

  I knew of a brother who had been inactive for something in the region of 12 years. He came back and within 3 to 4 years became an elder.

  The big mistake of jw.org property management

  today i read some news story's about the property deals of jw.org in brooklyn.

  they made good money and good connections.. but i'm sure jw.org made a very, very big mistake in brooklyn.

  they did.. they sold and are selling all the property for money.

  Hi Gorby.

  Very interesting topic and thanks for posting.

  Just a guess however; maybe the Org was suffering cash flow problems due to most of the Orgs assets tied up in property and therefore had not enough readily available funds to complete Warwick and for other operating expenses. So one way of correcting the situation was the raid on all the congregations banking accounts, the closing down of some branches, and the selling off of KH's and Brooklyn property.
