Great discussion, PE.
Certain members of the GB have shown their true colours when it came to standing up for their faith - cowards.
i was watching lloyd evans rebuttal to the saturday program of the be courageous convention.
lloyd pointed out something that had occurred to me as well:.
all this talk and examples of courage, whether it be standing up in class defending intelligent design, putting up with being imprisoned, not running away from bullies, always having a reply to someone who tries to ridicule your faith... the young ones are encourages - nay, commanded - to stand their ground and be courageous.

elon musk has called one of the thai cave rescue divers a 'paedo' on twitter.. this could prove to be a very costly post should the diver sue him for defamation.. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jul/15/elon-musk-british-diver-thai-cave-rescue-pedo-twitter.
It appears that the rescue diver is giving serious consideration to taking legal action.

Years ago I did a SCUBA Diving course. I enjoyed diving at the time, which took place in open water, but I don't dive anymore.
Cave diving is a totally different ball game. The divers who brought those boys and their coach out are absolute heroes in my book. To qualify as a scuba diver involves a lot of training. Those divers somehow had to convince the boys, which according to a news article some of them haven't even learnt how to swim yet, that everything will be okay.
Kudos to all involved with the rescue and condolences to the friends and family of the Thai Navy Diver who lost his life (ran out of air) whilst trying to rescue those boys.
7100 peak att.

don't ask ages.. absolutely nothing new morning symposium.
I'll be there in a few weeks, unfortunately.
You have my deepest sympathies.
yesterday i drove passed a town a couple of hours from my home and saw this kh under construction.
this is the first new design kh i've seen in washington state even though i would think by now another one or two have been built.
maybe not with their financial situation being the way it is.
What an abomination. Couldn't they have chosen a better location than building adjacent to what appears to be a mini - compound substation?
fantastic match...edge of seat stuff.
will be glued to 7pm match to see who we play next...russia or croatia..... enjoy wherever you are 😁😁😁.
Fantastic match; well done England and fair play to Sweden.
Through to the semi's ;)
Who do we face; Russia or Croatia … any bets?
today a large article was published in a dutch newspaper 'dagblad van het noorden'.
it is about frank huiting, the reclaimed voices foundation and the adopted motion in parliament.
the branch office has given a reaction:.
… But we have a handful of incidents and reports of abuse each year. Reclaimed Voices can only arrive with 301 cases if those issues have been taken out of context, through double counting or if other types of issues are counted as abuse …
I would hardly describe 301 cases of child sexual abuse as merely a handful !
Even one case of child sexual abuse is one too many. I hope the Dutch government goes down the same route as the ARC. The WTBTS needs to be held to account.
after i awoken from the cult, i went through the normal process of not knowing who i was and what my tastes where.
looking back this was a wonderful time in my life because i experimented and tried different things and now i like or dislike things because i personally like/dislike them - not because i've been told they're good or bad.. black pudding is an example - it's made of blood and is a popular addition here in britain to fried breakfasts.
i tried it for the first time last year and i can confirm that it is indeed revolting.
My musical tastes have never really altered - I was always into rock music and some heavy metal.
My era for music was from the mid 70's, through the 80's and early 90's.
These are some of the groups I was into;
Thin Lizzy, Dire Straits, Queen, Bad Co, Journey, TOTO, Foreigner, Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, STYX, Def Leppard etc
many years ago, in the congregation i attended at the time, there was a brother who had endured bad health over many years.
as result he underwent a number of operations - a couple being life saving operations.
at one or two circuit assemblies he was interviewed on the platform where he related how he endured ill health.. for me, i felt very uncomfortable listening to his experience and, i actually felt embarrassed for him because i have never been one to speak of any health issues i had, let alone publicise it from the platform.
Thanks for your comments folks - really appreciate it.
@ Steve - no, I have not watched the recent convention videos. The last convention and circuit assemblies I attended was back in 2004 / 2005.
This particular experience took place around the mid 1990's. Back then, in the circuit which our congregation was in, it was rare for these type of interviews to take place at the assemblies.
