I can confirm this is not true. I have been to Sweden twice and maintain friendships in the area.

Weird rumor I heard - JWs in Sweden
by sir82 ini heard this from a "friend of a friend of a friend...." at least 3 or 4 intermediate steps before i heard it.. so it is likely distorted, but i'll throw it out there in case someone in or near sweden can clarify it.. .
i heard that the wts branch in sweden instructed all jws there to "get rid of" all (empahasized all) of their printed literature, and rely exclusively on the content of jw.org for their literature.. .
that's the entire extent of it - i also got a few speculations about "what it might mean" (the society is expecting persecution!

Hey CA,
I read Coftys link you provided. While I appreciate it is simply a commentary, the translation of his quotes is not provided, and there is a quite abit of assumption in the redux. I personally reject the doctine of the Trinity, but also think it isn't worth an arguement over when you understand what Christian faiths usually teach as opposed to the modalism that the WT usually addresses.
That being said, I think the nature of the relationship of the father and son is one best described by....well......father and son. So that is how I view them. I try not to overcomplicate it.
A good example of assumption is the translation of John 14:14. Highly suspect as a suggestionof prayer being rendered to Jesus.

Hey Now what,
The advise here has run the gammut. i am sure you can make your own decition. Here are just a few thoughts.
1) There are other groups that do not believe in the trinity, in hell fire, and in an earthly paradise f that is the only real things you have beef with mainstream Christianity not believing.
2) The "where else is there" question is false from the beginning. The scripture says Peter is speaking to jesus and says "To WHOM else shall we go..." Very different concept. Its ok. It can be a while to realize these thoughts are still contradictory. I'm still detoxing and its only been 5 months.
3) Doctrine is not truth. Doctrine is doctrine. Doctrine can be proved false, or argued with gusto. the bible teachings on fornication, divorce, and a handful of things are clear. Much of the rest is at least "up for discussion". How do you feel about 8 men in Brooklyn telling you to think like them, or not only can oyu not be a Christian, you need to be excommunicated? How do you feel about a Christian exercising their conscience in regards to blood, but possibly disfellowshipped for using it? How do you feel about enforcement of belief? How do you feel about protecting reputation over children when it comes ot pedophilia? What makes you think God needs a human group or corporation to carry out his will, since in the end he will read the heart, where the true man and woman lies?
Think about these things. If you compromise your priciples because there is nothing else better, its like settle for a $#!T sandwhich because you never considered peanut butter and jelly as things tht would go together.
Just my 2 cents.

I finally told my parents
by nolongerconfused inso as some of you already may know, i have stopped going to meetings for good and have nothing to do with wbts anymore...did not write a letter of disassociation because i dont believe an organization should spiritually execute me for rejecting men's tradition and false doctrine...some of you may recall i spoke to my wife and are in good terms, even though she's still an active jw.
my parents are both active jw's...when i visited them yesterday, they clearly did not expect me to tell them i had left the "org"...to my huge surprise, after i explained to them i had found ttatt (truth about the truth) and gave compelling evidence of my reasoning, and using the scriptures, they totally sided with me...i was dumbfounded...one of my parents even brought up ray franz and his book coc....i was like wtf??.
they told me all of these years they never had the guts to say anything about the hypocrisy in this org and they were glad that i as their son was able to step up and believe what is right and what is on the bible...they re-assured their love to me and they were happy i had found happiness in jesus christ and the need to have a personal relationship with him and not through a man made organization.... i totally did not expect this response from my parents...but it just leaves me to think that there are thousands of active jw's out there feeling the same way and don't have the courage to step up to the org...still don't know what they are going to do, but i got the feeling they will do the same eventually and move on from the wbts.... have a great week everyone.

I am starting to believe my wifes main reason for sticking around is that her family is being held hostage from her if she were to follow me out. She doesn't want them to know either.
Its amazing to find your parents supportive in that situation. You should give them a card telling them how much you love them.

Mind Reading and Reinstatement - Part 1
by RayPublisher ini've published a new article on my blog about the agony that people go through in seeking reinstatement.
part one includes a personal experience of one that crawled throught this field of glass in order to be able to regain a relationship with a close friend that is asleep in the jw movement.. part two will have a transcript (and accompanying audio on my youtube channel) from a sister that recorded her entire reinstatement hearing, including what the elders said about her after she was dismissed from the room while they deliberated.. here's a peek at the article on jwstruggle:.
.. .. .. there are likely a number of you on jwnet that have "been there and back again" and gone through it.. what was the hardest thing about getting reinstated?.

Nice article. Thanks for writing it.
I was DF'd once when I was younger, and I was still a believer. I was commiting (lots) of fornication, and my conscience riddled me. While I am not defending JW's, I also am not defending my actions.
To be honest, the affair was very simple, they never asked details, tried to repair me spiritually, and reinstated me in like 5 months.
I realize that is an outlying situation, but that what it was. Now the poor girl that also went to the elders.......very different situation.
I honestly was very lucky to have alot of good elders around me early in life. I was insulated by the unreasonableness that I later found out abounds. Its why its pretty amazing i still came to the same conclusions as those who had been abused.

Nancy was a true believer. Her younger family are also true believers. o they are very happy with her sacrifice. I have met and know some of them.
Nancy made a personal decision, and it was hers to make.
She is dead now, and I try not to consider the motives of dead old ladies. She was truely a JW martyr.

What are considered conscious matters in the borg these days?
by jam infor example, the type of job you have, what take place.
in the bedroom, college, blood, marriage mate and etc.. and is it a truly conscious matter with out any repercussion?.

Those are faux conscience matters except for college. College is a conscience matter, but you will never be "used" which is now a term that seems hilarious to me.
Real conscience matters are...
What cereal to eat (assuming no magic, draculas of the chocolate variety, or gluten)
The type of hair gel you use (as long as it doesn't have ingredients from the dead sea)
That is the end of the list.

Yeah part of the harrasment is having to explain themselves to the CO. Don't shy away from texts or calls. Take them, respond posatively, and say there is no need for them to come by and thank you. Treat them with respect, and don't go into it.
Ann gave you great advise a couple pages ago. TAKE CONTROL of your situation. Your wife is agreeable now, but honestly make sure to keep her in the loop. They will definitly come after her to find out whats up. I know this from experience.
The CO coming over is just too tempting. He won't make it out of there without you saying too much. So don't do it. Tell them you aren't available but hope they enjoy the visit. THATS IT.
This is the tipping point on your fade. If you indulge them too much, it will not go well. Right now they don't have anything, and you will be removed as a servant by the CO wether you like it or not. So let it happen, don't go to the CO visit, and just be respectfull, and let them know you are great, focusing on your health and never felt better. If they ask when you plan to go back to meetings, just say you don't know. if they ask why, say I don't feel comfortable discussing that with you.
This is how you do it. Eventually you will just be impossible, and they will give up. Especially AFTER the CO leaves. Even better, take the wife somewhere this weekend for a little outing. That way you guys aren't even home when they inevitable try to "pop in".
Hiding from grown men isn't good for the soul. Don't do it.

Big Shake-Up Among Jehovah's Witnesses
by JW GoneBad ini heard that there was a recent (january 2013) big shake up on the west coast in orange california.
i think it is a kingdom hall on taft street in orange that has a double hall.
anyway, i heard that there were 10 to 15 disfellowshiped, others given public reproof and several congregations broken up and new conregations started as a result.

I know people in those halls. Haven't talked to them in a while. I will try to at least get enough rumor to where we can extrapolate some truth.
