  Are things really that bad in their Country that parents are willing to throw their 3 year old child over the border wall??

  Why are people assuming that the parents sent them and that they are not being trafficked?

  The Biden admin has set the clock back on the work done to prevent human trafficking by encouraging and promoting the current border crisis. It ends up providing cover for the traffickers.

  It's a shame that they were so preoccupied with their "orange man bad" policy and automatically doing the opposite of whatever the Trump admin did, that they are willing to sacrifice the well-being of so many innocent people, especially children.

  We're still waiting to hear from all the people like AOC who were so vocal when Trump was in charge but who now obviously don't give a shit about what is happening and can't even arrange a photo-op for self-promotion.

  i saw this on twitter the other day and it blew my mind.. tyrannosaurus is closer to us than to stegosaurus.

  that is, when tyrannosaurus lived, stegosaurus were already fossilized and those fossils were older than tyrannosaurus fossils are today to us, by a good 20 million years!.

  in a similar vein, the star wars prequel movies are now older than the original star wars movies were when those prequels were released.. how about that we're closer in time to cleopatra than she was to the pyramids being built.. what 'ya got?.

  Capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than ANYTHING, EVER.

  The standard of living and life expectancy has gone up because of capitalism.

  It may not be perfect, but it's the best system mankind has ever come up with so far.

  i love r&b music, funk and soul, even some disco.

  i’ve been listening to retro soul radio out of london lately and the music is without commercial interruptions 24 hours a day.

  mostly 70s and 80s music.. i love everything from elvis presley to tom jones too.

  I have a pretty weird and unusual range of music that I listen too.

  Some genres definitely get fewer selections overall (rap, ugh, mostly garbage) and others get more plays, but why limit yourself to any one genre? Just listen to whatever you enjoy and makes you laugh, cry, tap your foot, swing your trousers or whatever.

  Right now I'm listening to a lot of "The Band" which usually involves a fair amount of Dylan too.

  Other times I'll be listening to a broadway show, or some punk, blues, jazz, disco, folk or classical.

  No different to the morons who show up at a KH shouting at people and totally unethical.

  It would make you a grade A jerk.

  If there's one thing I've learned from this forum, it's that it takes an enormous amount of time and effort to convince someone of "X" when they are entrenched in their belief in "Y", no matter how logical or reasonable "X" is or how wackadoodle "Y" is..

  I think it's a Mark Twain quote that "it's easier to fool a man than to convince him he's been fooled"

  People don't like to admit that they were wrong or foolish, especially when there is so much "sunk cost" invested.

  Colorado Mass Shooting

  terrible news out of colorado this morning of a mass shooting in a supermarket leaving 10 dead.. missing from the homepage of cnn is any description of the shooter.

  that's because it's a muslim refugee from syria who was apparently anti-trump and not a "maga white guy" which would otherwise be included in every headline.. more kids in cages than ever before (but strangely, now no one in the media seems to care) and now this.. biden doesn't have the magic wand he promised after all, right?.

  We're still hearing the "Charlottesville hoax" regularly, they can keep that alive, but a bigger death count more deliberately caused by a hateful follower of a hateful religion imported into the country under bogus and unchecked systems based on "diversity quota"?
