Will You Get Back To Normal After Covid Subsides?

some say we will never get back to pre-pandemic days.

others say we should expect to live with masks and social distancing as the “new normal “.

still others are hopeful that we can live life realizing there might never be an end to covid or cancer or influenza but our lives must continue to go on.

On Feb. 19, 2020, public health experts signed a public statement to "strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin."

Funny that - without evidence and before any investigation (how long into it was Feb 2020?) they can't say what it was but can say what it wasn't.

The fact is that the "evidence" for it being the market was fictitious and planted in various journals, all traceable to the Chinese.

Please don't post any more Chinese state disinformation in future.

I think we should ignore what he says as nothing he has said has been helpful or accurate (not later reversed).

He's in it for himself and profiting quite nicely.

Dancing Cockatoo, Living His Best Life, a Lesson For All of Us

so this is a sad story, i believe the cockatoo was neglected after his owner died (relatives just kept it locked up and the cage covered) so it plucked its feathers.

the new owners rescued it and are giving it the care, love, and attention it needs.. they discovered that it loves to dance so they share these adorable videos of it rocking out.. it reminded me what a great lesson there is for all of us - don't wallow in the past, live your best life now and enjoy your new freedom and be happy.. be like griffi.. also, it has way better moves than me.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayos5kvlxn8.

Why did Jehovah Kill all the animals in the flood? What purpose did it serve??

some of my jw family that is waking up posed that question to my jw family that is still hanging on to jw belief.. the stepbrother that posed that question told me;.

"in all these years of being a jw, i actually never gave it much thought as to why jehovah had to kill millions of innocent animals that had nothing to do with mankind becoming evil.".

i keep picturing in my mind, all the baby puppies and kitties that were destroyed by jehovah.

It would be a compelling story to those who had heard of "a / the great flood". Piggy back onto a pre-existing myth and claim "our god did that".

Just like fiction now will weave in real events, like a hero fighting in WWII.

Derek Chauvin - The Right to a Fair Trial

anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.

if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.

there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

just a reminder about spammers.. please ignore them!.

they are idiots, we have a real "gay-for-j" zealot right now who hasn't got the message that they are not wanted and no one is interested in their bible-fantasy gibberish.

there's a certain irony that their own site is covered in "don't spam" rules but they think it's acceptable to do it to others.

It's OK, I'll reset them when I get chance - this is actually good as it's spurred me on to finish some long overdue updates to the software which I'll complete and deploy.

But wow - just imagine having such a sad life that this is how you chose to spend your time? We really should feel some pity for people like this - how shitty and pointless must their life be for this to be the highlight of their existence, an "accomplishment" for them?

if you don’t, we are told that we definitely could get the virus.

fair enough.. but what happens if you decide you aren’t going to get the shots?

Systemic Racism: What’s Your View? Is it As Pervasive As Some Suggest?

the president of the united states says we have to do something about this.

many politicians and people agree that we are all affected by the scourge of systemic racism.

what’s your view of this?

There are new examples of systemic racism as we speak: when authorities prioritize which businesses get aid and support based on the color of their owner, that is systemic racism. The news was reported that "minority owned businesses will receive priority" ... erm, why? And who has the color card to decide if someone is really dark enough and what the order should be?

Everything should be based purely on the same qualification rules for something, skin color should not count for or against anyone when it comes to entitlement or punishment.

Anything else is systemic racism.
