  It seems to be the awfulness of having to do a little work in between the yachts, horse-riding, free-tickets to cup-final, wimbledon etc...

  Yes, the Royal Family are "on display", but only to the extent they attract it and really is it that big a price to pay for what they get in return? There are plenty of Royals that you don't see much of or only see when they are doing their official duties so it does seem to be in their own hands to a large extent.

  Dianna went seeking attention and used the media for her own ends so I don't think she's the innocent victim that many make out, but I can understand why Harry has that opinion of what happened.

  Now he's married Meghan and she also seems to want to court attention and use the media when it suits her, so I have no sympathy if the media sometimes isn't kind - if you go round screaming "woe is me" and waving for them to point the camera at you, some people will treat you like a circus show thing ... because you are.

  I posted it to multiple boards to partially counteract the numerous negative posts on those boards; I wanted to make sure the people posting to each of those boards saw the post. I think the poll results mentioned in the article are accurate, since I know that the AP is a very reliable pollster.

  I am still not able to solve this God's name paradox...

  i am finishing to read the entire bible (nwt 2013) for my first time (my fault) and i wrote down hundreds, maybe thousands, of questions not clear to me, but one especially came in my mind meditating on god's name.. if i wanted to summarize the entire bible in one phrase i would say (even before the kingdom): god’s name sanctification.. god is jealous about his name.

  he does everything for the love of his name, and he wants to be called and prayed using his name.

  no doubt about all this (repeated several times in the bible), but it involves the pronunciation of his name.. god left us his name in the form of יהוה which is unpronounceable.

  BTW: If anyone has a decent powered graphics card from the last few years, you can actually earn money mining crypto (usually Etherium). Even on an old RX580 I'm getting $8 a day. If you have one of those fancy RTX 30 series Nvidia cards you can double or triple that (which is why you can't find them in stores for love nor money).

  If you do get into crypto and are in Canada, we have lots of ETF options for both BTC and ETH that can grow tax-free in a TFSA. There's also things like WealthSimple where you don't have to manage your own keys. You'll hear things like "not your keys, not your coins" but as long as you're dealing with a reputable company such as WS, or Coinbase or Binance (not some crappy little exchange, see "Quadriga") then you're probably at much greater risk from losing your own keys than them being hacked (and they are usually insured).

  I actually just managed to crack a 9 year old blockchain wallet that a friend had, which they'd forgotten the password to in all that time. Unfortunately, they also mis-remembered there being much in it, LOL, but I was quite pleased that I managed to write an app to brute-force it in a few days (there was an open source tool but a bug in it meant it failed to work on old wallets).

  BTC was first priced at 1,000 for $1, later 10,000 for 2 pizzas, and is now nearly $60k. Non-inflationary money for the first time in history.

  Whether you want to ignore it or not, it's likely that central banks will issue their own digital currencies in the near future so you'll likely be using some form of it at some point. Although I expect the central bank versions to allow for the same unlimited money-printing that their fiat currency does.
