Because being wealthy does not guarantee you happiness.
Being wealthy buys you time and energy, to focus on whatever you want. Whether the things you chose to spend those in make you happy or not depends on you and them.
Don't own a house? Sit down with a banker (a real banker, not a mortgage broker) and work out a plan to get into a house.
Another option now is to buy tokenized real-estate, so you can get exposure to an asset class even if you don't want to or can't purchase a property outright.
The thing that stops most people is they fact that it takes twenty years or so for this to start showing significant gains. You have to be ready to play long ball, this won't show immediate results.
Yes, and the key thing is that instead of you working for the money, the money works for you.
It's a real pity schools are so utter crap at educating people about the few basics that are needed to dramatically improve your life chances.

I remember JWs being on the radio talking about it, and the whole family gathered round listening to it and nodding, certainly not saying "What is this rubbish? We haven't been told this?!"
Their own figures show the "bump" they got from this teaching as, like most doomsday cults, publishing a real date once in a while can focus the minds of people who were maybe on the fence.

On one hand, you have jumps in sales and valuation of companies like Foot Locker and Nike, as people spend their "free" government money on sneakers. They blow it on useless tat. It's why they will always be poor.
You also see a reduction in debt and increase in savings as people pay off loans and save for the future. Usually these are more middle-class concerns.
Then there is the stock market reaching record highs. The wealthiest 10% of Americans now own 89% of all US stocks, the highest level ever. The rich know that investing is the best way to generate more wealth.
In a years time the poor will have a year-old pair of sneakers and bemoan how unfair the system is. The middle-class will imagine they are a bit further ahead because their bank account will be a bit higher (but they forget about inflation and that it is stripping the modest interest rate they are paid). The rich will have accumulated more of the income-generating assets that will make them even wealthier over the following decades.
The irony is that the poor could have set themselves up to have a new pair of sneakers every year for a decade if they'd thought to invest the money instead of rushing to get rid of it.

Nobody votes for a political party based on their party platform from 150 years ago.
Good try, but you don't have to go back that far.
Fun facts: Not every Democrat was a member of the KKK ... but every KKK member was a democrat. They had people in congress who were openly racist beyond belief.
They objected to all the civil rights legislation at every point, all of which was eventually passed by republicans.
They are and always have been political opportunists and switched their agenda right at the end, when the writing was on the wall that their position was untenable in the modern world. But they really only changed how they enslave people.
The black electorate doesn't appear to be sophisticated. The same poor thinking and decision making that consistently keeps people poor makes people easy to manipulate politically (these things go together) and coupled with a propensity for group / block voting based on the direction of "community leaders" (who become millionaires in the process) and you have an entire community of people who are perhaps the only voting block that consistently votes against their own self-interests while believing that the people they give their vote to will solve their problems ... any day now, they'll be right on it.
I almost don't even feel sorry for them anymore, but they don't get a chance to learn and think straight because their failing schools are almost wholly run by democrat supporting unions and are really indoctrination centres.
They just changed the definition of "plantation" and people kept picking their cotton as they were told.

slavery being just another form of the employer-employee relationship (and that thus the same biblical NT principles of obedience of a slave to its master apply to modern employees in regards to their employers). Note that least one of my black ancestors were slaves in the USA (when slavery was practiced in the southern USA) and I find slavery to be extremely appalling, including as depicted in the TV miniseries called "Roots" (which I watched when it first aired, and I also read the entire book called Roots [and my father, a white JW, kindly gave to me a Reader's Digest condensed version of the book, without me asking for it]);

They gamble in stocks and shares quite hypocritically.
Investing isn't the same as gambling, unless you are picking stocks by throwing a dart at a page for the S&P 500.
You have far more chance of making decent returns on investments compared to gambling, where you are statistically guaranteed to loose.

The WTS makes plenty of money from free labor, donations and property deals. They have no big cash businesses that would enable them to launder money and no need to do so - the risk would far outweigh any reward for them.
