  Sorry, I thought we'd peaked, but there was more to come. I always underestimate people's ability for stupid.

  Apart from sports people and opera singers who have the audacity to have been born Russian, there is a new contender for the subject of leftist idiot cancellation.

  Ladies and Gentlemen (who aren't Russian), I give you:

  If you don't know, it's a French Canadian dish consisting of Fries, Cheese Curds and Gravy. It's delicious, but you know what else it is? It's sounding a lot like "Putin"! So it's now OFF the menu.

  it's pretty apparent now that le has been using his wife and his in-laws to boost his writing career, and now that he has achieved his goals, he will discard them.

  in an effort to keep his viewers believing he is a relatively innocent man, compared to other men who do club baby seal cubs to death. He's obscene, which is also over the top.

  Well, you have taken his "relative innocence" argument and dialled it up to 11, because serial killers and psychopaths are worse than people who hunt animals.

  You're really doing him a huge favour by making these kind of outlandish comparisons, because any reasonable person will conclude that he isn't that bad, and that you are overreaching with your claims.

  LE has gone over the top, so it seems like I have to, also, to balance things out.

  It doesn't work like that, what you actually do plays more into his hands because he'll refer to this kind of accusation / comparison to then dismiss all of them and paint everyone as "unbalanced haters". You effectively hand him a get-out-of-jail-free card.

  It's far more effective to come across as reasonable and fair. It makes valid criticism stronger when you do.

  I think when you start comparing someone to the likes ofJeffrey Dahmer and Ariel Castro, you diminish what they do and discredit otherwise potentially valid complaints you might have about that persons behavior.

  Because what he's done is nowhere near them on the grand scale of things, and I think you must know that, surely?

  This is hyperbole and overreach so ridiculous I start to imagine you must be a plant.

  There's plenty of valid things to criticize him for without having to invent things.

  Yeah, so if one month was capitalized and the others not, that would indicate someone edited something. But the fact that they are all lowercase suggest it's just the quirky way that software formatted dates.

  what do you think about the time stamp? Someone said it was missing a zero on the 24 hour clock and that also days of the week weren't capitalised? Is that an issue please?

  All the date formatting appears to be consistent AFAICT. Again, if one was different to the others then it could indicate some fakery, but I don't see it. I don't see a day of the week anywhere (was it the month name?) and the fact that 24 hour times don't have a leading zero is meaningless, it says more about people in the software industry not knowing how to format dates (seriously, you could be a full-time "date-time consultant" and do nothing else).

  That sounds more like someone determined to come up with some reason to claim them as fake than a legitimate discrepancy being found.

  it's always unjustifiable for a country to attack another country without having first been attacked itself.. the nuremberg trials at the end of wwii made this clear.. more vividly too: following orders as a patriotic duty is never secondary to the pangs of your personal conscience.. .

  The current financial system is backed by the petro-dollar. All conflict is ultimately caused by that and about that.

  Wars also lead to huge profits for some, which is why those people are always keen on having them but never want to be on the front lines themselves.

  Regarding that song, it was also in the purple songbook before the brown one, though I don't know the number. If I remember correctly, it had a somewhat soft cover, not the stiff board of the brown songbook.

  Did it have fancy gold edges to all the pages? I seem to remember that. Kind of bizarre looking back how elaborate that songbook was.
