I'm reading rumours that Patreon is "reviewing" their account with him
If Patreon don’t take action on that they surely lose credibility
If they allow people to raise money under the guise of it being for one thing and then spend it on hookers in a known trafficking hotspot, they may as well not bother having any community rules. As it is, they have to care about their image and reputation, and they will care more about their own platform than some obscure grifter because ultimately it reflects on them:
"If you are a creator raising funds on Patreon, we may be held accountable for what you do with those funds. As a result, we also look at what you do with your membership off our platform".
Anyone who has contributed shouldn't just stop, they should be demanding a refund. Money talks.

"Midnight Mass" on Netflix
by smiddy3 ini watched the 7 part series and finished today .what struck me about the show was how one could cherry pick scriptures to believe whatever you want to believe.. the use of scriptures to back up the beliefs was in my mind an eye opener.. ok so it was over the top and a horror supernatural series with a bit of blood and gore, and if your a bit squeamish about that sort of thing close your eyes till those parts are over .. but what i found fascinating ,intriguing, was how one of the main characters used scriptures to enforce her understanding of how they applied to the here and now of the series.. cherry picking of scriptures to believe what you want to believe, with a little help from a priest ,pastor ,organization.. i would recommend it ,as you can easily see how, their are now more than 40,000 different christian sects in the world including the mainstream ones who believe they only have the "truth".. i welcome your thoughts if you have seen it.. ps.
obviously their are no jw`s on this island ..

We watched it, it was pretty well done.
We're now watching Severance which is, well, surreal. It's fascinating because unlike some shows, you have NO idea where things are going or what is really going on.

I think, is his prostitution views would undoubtedly make him unpopular with most religious Patreons he had (except the Jimmy Swaggart/denigration of women types) and he is doubly unpopular because the politics of prostitution just isn't popular with a majority of any kind.
There's a significant number of exJWs who seem to have such simplistic thinking that they object to anything the WTS advocates and vice-versa. They think they have to live the exact opposite of what they were, almost to prove a point. So WTS says being moral is good? OK, I will applaud immorality. Prostitution is a sin? Then I'll see it as a virtue.
It's a cancerous outlook that damages themselves as much as it does others, but they can't get over the WTS teaching or admit that some of what they taught was sensible and pretty widely accepted "truth". Some of it seems to be an extremist black-and-white outlook on things that stem from militant atheism where anything with a hint of "religion" has to be rejected and the exact opposite followed instead.
IMO the vast majority of people, whether they have any JW upbringing or not, know that cheating on your wife in such a way is a sleazy and dishonest thing to do, and isn't something that a good, decent person does.
It shows a fundamental character flaw and outlook that women are there to be used, a commodity for gratification. That's an ugly look and thoroughly incompatible with anyone who claims to care about women and victims of sexual abuse.

Another good commentary. You don't support victims through abusive people - think about who you support and what messages of support for the abusive people do to those who are actually victims of abuse.

Further to the "Entrapment & Exposure" video above ...
One thing to remember, is that some free email services, Hotmail being one of them, actually recycle email addresses (!). So the fact that someone is able to sign up with a certain address doesn't mean that account never previously existed, it can simply mean it was abandoned.
Another thing to also be wary of is "homoglyphs" where people use accounts using characters that visually appear to be the same as others in order to give the appearance they come from an account that they haven't. Be wary of anyone you communicate with, especially on this "hot topic" if you haven't previously corresponded with them. Try to confirm with people through the channel you know them from (e.g. if a Twitter account emails you rather than messages you through Twitter). Also, never, ever, forward anyone else's information to a 3rd party.
It's kind of sad and shocking that someone would impersonate a CSA, but hey, they support Lloyd, so they are not really top of the morality tree now are they?! The only real question is why they feel the need to do this, because IMO it demonstrates that they believe Marko is real that they are trying to identify him (in which case, why are you supporting Lloyd - isn't it's even more bizarre and immoral to do so?!). The 2nd question is whether and how closely they are associate with Lloyd himself.
Things that make you go "hmmn?" !
