One thing I find slightly odd, why isn't the mother guilty of failing to report it?
Surely the child's parent has the greatest responsibility to care for their child? It's slightly strange to hold strangers more accountable for it.

this item just featured on the bbc lunchtime news today as the headline story and the piece included a reporter who singled out jehovah's witnesses for discussion from the 30 organisations covered by the report.
the news item then went on to feature an extensive interview ex elder and ex jehovah's witness writer lloyd evans..

I think those letters are fake. No one seems to have managed to get the law office to confirm or deny if they sent this letter out.
Yeah, I saw a video where someone had recorded something like their 6th attempt at contacting them and they didn't seem to know much if anything about it and it sounded like the "lawyer" is some part time trainee. I agree, it screams fake, which if true, means he's in big trouble. Why? Well he may have committed offences by sending them, and it would also show that he isn't really defending anything which raises lots of questions.
Welcome back Lady Lee
Hope you're winning your battle!

Because he made that video after his wife said she didn't want him going to sex workers anymore. Yet He claimed he needed a break for his mental health. That's so manipulative.
He appears to be a compulsive liar. There's a whole string of things that we know he's lied about, some major, some minor, and many of the lies not even necessary. This is the thing about compulsive liars and manipulators. Oftentimes, the thing they gain isn't anything much from the lie itself, it's the kick that they get from deceiving and manipulating people. The smug satisfaction that they pulled something over others. He lived a lie as a JW, as an elder, and now as an exJW. It runs through him like lettering through Blackpool rock.
I don't know the psychology behind people like this, maybe it's "practice" so they can get away with telling bigger lies when they need to, so it's natural. The "no dear, I'm faithful, I'm not going to Thailand to sleep with hookers" kind.
He still appears to be lying about having a PR firm and legal team because going off the letters people got, the reality doesn't match the hype. So why do it? Maybe he believes his own lies, the narrative he has rattling round in his head?
But I don't think he's fully thought it through and eventually the consequences of lies have a habit of catching up with you. Maybe he imagined he'd be able to clean up and sanitize the internet with his legal-letter stunt, make some money in the process, and then get back to his grift. But all he's really done is make the story even bigger.
But it doesn't end there. He's made a big deal claiming things said about him were lies, and that he can and will take legal action against those behind them. So what do we deduce if that doesn't happen?
His problem is that the accusations made about him are credible, because they align with all the behavior he's since exhibited and facts that we do know, even though the allegations predate the subsequent revelations. What are the chances of that happening? Imagine someone was accused of embezzling money and then years later they are caught stealing or defrauding someone? Does it diminish or amplify the original allegation? Imagine that person said it was all lies, was going to take those reporting it to court (but not the originator of it), sent laughably bad threatening letters and then ... crickets. What would people imagine?

Ping-Pong balls and extra small condoms. LOL
i watched the 7 part series and finished today .what struck me about the show was how one could cherry pick scriptures to believe whatever you want to believe.. the use of scriptures to back up the beliefs was in my mind an eye opener.. ok so it was over the top and a horror supernatural series with a bit of blood and gore, and if your a bit squeamish about that sort of thing close your eyes till those parts are over .. but what i found fascinating ,intriguing, was how one of the main characters used scriptures to enforce her understanding of how they applied to the here and now of the series.. cherry picking of scriptures to believe what you want to believe, with a little help from a priest ,pastor ,organization.. i would recommend it ,as you can easily see how, their are now more than 40,000 different christian sects in the world including the mainstream ones who believe they only have the "truth".. i welcome your thoughts if you have seen it.. ps.
obviously their are no jw`s on this island ..
"Severence" is AppleTV. They don't have a lot of content, but the ones they do have are quite good (although I can't decide if I liked "Foundation" yet). "See" is another unusual one with an interesting premise (a plague wiped out much of humanity and everyone left is blind, then a few seeing people come along) but it's well done and quite captivating. My measure is how many times you want to "Play next" when it's getting late.

That "Anonymous" video just seems to be sensationalist nonsense. It does nobody any good posting things like that as it just obfuscates the real issue and feeds into his "persecution complex", so I deleted it.

Yes, the ridicule and disgust from completely independent commentators destroy any claims that this is about jealousy from other exJWs or any such nonsense.
It's because what he's done is hilariously stupid and disgustingly immoral.

I'll preemptively issue myself a demand letter, in shame.
If you need help with the typos, try and borrow a friends cat to walk across the keyboard. Or a monkey ... preferably a drunk one.
Another good discussion (great getting a woman's perspective on it)
