But I thought their insult law which is prosecuted under the criminal code, unless I understood it completely incorrectly, has to be against a someone who works in a public capacity - such as a government official etc?? That's what I didn't understand
The Croatian law appears to be controversial even in Croatia as it's mostly used by politicians to silence the press. There are very few convictions, most appear to be suspended, so it's a "be quiet, or else" law that the government uses when someone is exposing something they have done.
He's going to need deep, deep pockets to go ahead and even then, it will be meaningless as the laws are not applicable in other countries so carry no weight.
It's literally like the WTS finding you guilty of Apostasy, and deserving of death ... how many executions have they carried out lately?
