News just in. Obama is a piece of shit.
Like serious, WTF? Your first thought is to breeze right past the tragedy of these kids deaths to fawn over some criminal thug? He continues with Trayvon Martin. What a clown.
Unreal!

here in the uk we've recently had the price cap on household energy bills raised by around £800 and there'll be another similar raise this autumn.. food prices are up, petrol is around £1.82 per litre - that's $10.37 per gallon for our american friends - and inflation is currently running at 9%.
business are being hit as ordinary folk prioritise their spending.
young folks are effectively priced out of the housing market and wage rises are not keeping pace.. mrs nic' and i are fortunate in that we're both in secure employment and with the kids moved out and mortgage paid off our outgoings are thankfully low.
Just bought a new car and boat
Yep, life's going pretty well for some ...

You have no idea. If you can stomach this it will terrify you.
Not surprising. The medical profession industry hides numerous serial killers and psychopaths. They allowed Jimmy Saville to operate in the UK.

the proliferation of "shooter" computer games ( which desensitises the action)
Links to video games have been debunked so many times now.
These kind of incidents are simply going to repeat constantly as there are always madmen / criminals around and the easily availability of guns means they can kill a lot of people in a short time and with the police being armed , they often guarantee their own death in a macabre murder / suicide death wish. Sadly it is something Americans just have to accept , and , in fact , incidents like this just increase the chance of copycat events.
I agree that the TV media and also social media have made things worse and I believe are now some of the biggest additional drivers for the epidemic of shootings.
As for the police, I saw an article that had analyzed shootings and apparently the number of people killed before a shooter is shot by police is around 14 but the number killed before they are shot by an armed citizen is around 2.
It appears in this case the police were already engaging but them sat back for reinforcements to arrive.
If the plan is for everyone to be unarmed and have to wait for the police ... well, it's a bad plan. An example of how stopping law-abiding citizens from having guns could make things worse.

Actually, it has. The event is generally referred to as "The Eureka Rebellion" or the "Eureka Stockade".
Not sure a one day event with 27 dead really qualifies as a "war", more like a violent protest and evidence of why civilians need to be armed to protect themselves from their government.

It's like banning cars to solve car accidents.
Technically, it would work, but with a giant humongous "IF" everyone agreed to it. The reality is they wouldn't. Same with limiting cars to 10mph ... not gonna fly.
But what we can do is decide that certain areas need to have speeds controlled to enhance protection. Such as schools.
Now, do they just put up a sign saying not to speed? NO! Because without enforcement it's pointless. They point radar guns at you every chance they get.
So they can assign police to protect children ... from motorists.
what do you guys think....the topic seems to being on fashion lately.
some in the borg told me one time "of course, they are for real, they could be angels, demons".. .
That's a story he came up with when his wife found a long platinum-white hair on his shoulder and a ginger pube in his undies.
Or was he paid for it?

Gun control does work.
Again, you can't take a law and simply transplant it somewhere else and expect the equivalent outcomes.
Has Australia had a revolutionary war? An armed civil war? Are Australians constitutionally granted the right to bear arms? How many guns were owned before and after the controls?
It's not as simple as just saying "oh, ban them, problem solved". Who collects all the guns for instance?
If gun control works, why were there still 2,519 (adjusted) gun deaths?
You're making an assumption that if you remove a lot of guns from society, that the number of gun deaths is guaranteed to go down and couldn't go up.

I don’t want Tibor to be unemployed.
I wonder if he'll still be considered one of the "gracious class" if he gets himself a proper job and tells Lloyd to shove it?

Bullying at school, social isolation, drug-addicted mother, absent father, self-injury, random acts and statements of violence...

I wonder what the school did about the bullying? Or if they did anything ...
