Not a word. Mark did block me on Twitter though, so I wasn’t completely ignored.
Unreal!
I think the majority really do appreciate what you did Kim, even if not immediately as it happened, then with everything else they have learned since. I think it's important to be public in voicing your support for some situations otherwise you leave people who've stood up feeling more alone than they should and potentially looking like an easy target.
It's a shame some people were so slow to do the right thing and even then seemed to be looking for ways to do with the wrong thing. He seems to still be supporting Lloyd when he can - he was also coming on here and downvoting comments critical of him.

Speaking of Andrew Gold,
I think it's simpler than that. Lloyds main goal appears to be silencing and driving away exJWs who make videos.
It's how he makes his money and he views them as competition.
All this whole thing has been is an excuse to silence what he sees as "competition". I think he views people who produce content for free as taking potential revenue from him.

Yeah, it's a deflection technique - a way of saying that having that conversation would be hugely inconvenient, so "let's not", but without saying it so obviously.

Does anyone else get “triggered” when somebody uses the word “triggered”?
by slimboyfat inwhat’s the world coming to?
(i guess this makes me officially an older while male now ).

I agree with Anony Mous - the claim of being "triggered" is nowadays predominantly used by people who treat it as a convenient prop to silence views they don't agree with. Nothing todo with genuine trauma at all.
The people misusing it deserved to be triggered mercilessly until they are a wailing puddle on the floor. Hopefully, with it filmed for its comedy gold value.
Those who have suffered real actual trauma should not be unduly subjected to unnecessary reminders of it, but also owe themselves and others some personal responsibility not to expose themselves to where such reminders may appear or be too keen to see them where they are not intended.

Who they hurt, destroy or offend on the journey to their goal is meaningless to them.
Yeah, it's like thieves and scammers - normal people couldn't live with the guilt of taking something from someone, but if you feel nothing for others, no empathy or compassion ... you just don't care.
You must know, if you're taking money off people, that some of those people may be digging deep and giving something that they could really use on other things but totally believe the tale you've spun.
How can you do that? Take it, spend it on vacations and hookers, abandoning your kids, cheating on your wife, and then turn round and denounce people who question or are shocked by it? Not only that, but to tell the people who stop giving you money that they are stupid and have been conned?
It's so unreal. He has to have no conscience. No empathy or sympathy for others. Real psychopath or sociopath stuff.

Forevermore, June 18th will be 'Tell Simon what you think of him day'
Ha ha, I haven't noticed that ever really being a problem for people, I obviously don't threaten enough litigation.
Having a thick hide (and thick skull) comes with the territory if you do anything public and meaningful online - you can't take every criticism so personally that you obsess over it and need to hunt people down because of it.
The flip side is that you should not hand your critics ammunition on a plate - don't do things that make you a laughing stock and subject for ridicule.
And if you take money off people, I think you owe a degree of accountability and transparency for what you do with that money, especially if it goes beyond covering a specific cost. If you live your life publicly, for profit, expect one consequence of that to be less privacy and more attention for what you do.
Ultimately, if you're a decent person and paying your own way in life, it's pretty clear if someone is inventing something about you. I'm never going to be caught in any hooker scandal and not just because I'm too much of a germaphobe, loathe going out, and hate spending money ... I love my wife and family way more than I could ever want some momentary jollies to justify doing that to them.

US courts don't recognize foreign judgements that don't uphold the same freedom of speech.
Heck, even the UK doesn't qualify ... a shit-hole of corruption like Croatia is going to be laughed at.
The laws Lloyd thinks he can use are really only ever applied by the politicians in that country to silence journalists (Croatia ranks high in use of SLAPP cases). They are not going to let some foreign libel tourist start milking their cow.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/28/4102
That's the US, but most other countries are similar - apart from things that there are specific international agreements and treaties over (like war crimes) it comes down to jurisdiction. Croatian law applies in Croatia (who knew?!).
If this were not the case, I'm pretty sure everyone would have been sued for not respecting Islam or other such BS. Even the dumbest laws in the shittiest countries only reach so far, usually to their border and not beyond.

Listen I think privately Paul probably sees the conflict of interest, but I know he's a genuinely nice guy and so is probably concerned about a pile -on and mental health. However I've come to see that sometimes being only kind, does not always benefit human beings in ALL situations.
I don't think it's ever healthy to treat people, especially those with some authority, as beyond criticism.
It's part of the reason we have this issue in the exJW community.
Prominent voices should never be beyond being questioned or criticized.
